Chrud
Too bad Carl broke. No one would have had anything for him. I wonder how many millions it took Toyota to get that first win. I wish Darrell Waltrip wasn't so gung-ho over Toyota.

Tominator
I wish Darrell Waltrip wasn't so gung-ho over Toyota. Noticed that. Bet he's getting a kick-back.
AdvantageTimberLou
Noticed that. Bet he's getting a kick-back. Haven't seen that much brown nosing on air since Ned Jarrett called the race when his boy Dale beat Dale Earnhardt Sr. to the line at the Daytona 500 years back. Always thought broadcasters should not show favortism, and you know old DW is getting something. Just goes to show you, you can toss money into a program and not win (cough Michael Waltrip) but toss it in the right direction and you can win (cough Joe Gibbs racing). Guest Finn
Wasn't DW doing Toyota Tundra commercials last year?
OJR
Maybe he has a pile of money tied up with his brother and they had better produce! He is hoping that with Gibbs, Toyota is competitive and some of it might wash down to Michael! Who knows??
SuperMn106
Wasn't DW doing Toyota Tundra commercials last year? Now that you say something I do remember them commercials. They were about how tought the truck was. I think it was a couple years ago.
Guest Turtle
Would like to of seen debris that caused 1st caution when Jr had half the field lapped about 38 laps into race. That saved a lot of cars from going down early and gave them the chance to start adjusting. By the way when DW was doing the commercials he was actually driving a Toyota in the truck series for Team he and Michael were partners in. Nick
Did you bump your head Orlan? toyota won!!! How in the world do you figure that was a good weekened?!?!?!?! I would rather see Jeff Gordon win a race in a CHEVY than anybody win a race in a japanese engineered toyota!!!! This was the worst race in decades. I GUARANTEE you Dale Earnhardt SR rolled over in his grave when a toyota won that race.
OJR
Nick, I don't really like a Toyota winning, however, it is tons better than JG!!!! LOL!!!
AdvantageTimberLou
Gotta believe the next dispute with the Toyota's is the power they have. Their engines seem to have more than the other makes, not much but its more horsepower. Time will tell but you will hear something about the Toyota powerplants now that they have won!! Guest Turtle
Don't know that you could tell more power from yesterday's race. Think all the cars had more power than they could use due to the hard tires. Toyota just happen to be able to use more of their power yesterday. Chrud
Wasn't DW doing Toyota Tundra commercials last year? He was pretty much the first person to go to Toyota in the truck series. And, IMO, he's the biggest reason Toyota went to Busch and now Cup. I'm to the point where I'd rather mute FOX than listen to them call a race. Every other word is Toyota. Now that they've won, just wait until next week. I bet there is at least 250 "Toyota's first win" references. HUGE Party tonight in Japan, be there or be square! LOL!!! LMAO! It's great that Kyle Busch made all the folks in Japan happy! Maybe next week at Bristol, a Chevy, Ford or Dodge will make the Americans happy. snapper
Kinda thought a Toyota winning was funny...figured all the die hard "american" made fans were kicking and screaming like little school girls. I hated seeing little Busch win....but got a good laugh at Tony's comments about the Goodyear tires. He got 2nd place, no right fronts blowing out like in the past = good safe race...and he still whined!
VABuckSlayer
A lot of the drivers whined about the tires after the race. Even Jr. and he finished 3rd. Goodyear took a bashing from all the drivers this weekend.

BowJoe
Did ya'll not hear what DW said either last week or the week before on a live broadcast? He said that the Dyno for Toyota showed more horse power than any other engine package of the other manufacturers. He said they were really crankin' out the horses above what even he expected. And do ya'll not think NASCAR is getting a big kick back for Toyota even being allowed in the sport? Of course NASCAR is going to allow the Toys to have a better package for a year or two to keep the japs interested. Then when they have so much money invested in it's drivers and programs, they'll not be able to pull out so easily when they even the playing field. I look for Tony to leave JGR for a Chevy team like Childress in the near future. I know it sounds crazy but I just don't see him staying with Toyota. I can guarantee he's getting a lot of flack from fans right now about driving a Toy. I love the fact that 2 races in a row, Jr. has out performed every car in Hendrick 3 out of 4 races already. I think Jr. is on a mission this year and though he may not win a championship, he's definitely not going to let a year like 07 happen again. I am with you on Tony leaving but I see him going to Hendrick and Mears getting the boot! That would be a dominate team!! As for Busch, something about that kid, cocky is just not the right word. He is like his brother Kurt was in his younger years, it took a punch in the face from Jimmy Spencer to sort of straighten him out some! Chrud
For what it's worth, Tony had Chevy bowties all over his midget at the Chili Bowl race. It would be great to see him with Hendrick. I'm glad I'm not alone on the opinion of Kyle Busch. I figured Lou and I would see eye to eye on that deal.
Guest Turtle
Are my eyes deceiving me, did Chrud start a sentence with "It's great that Kyle Busch" and didn't end it with "hit the wall":D
