AdvantageTimberLou
Prefer not to hit a deer, seen too many graphic pictures of deer inside the car and people being killed from hitting them. If I can take another approach I would. Deer lives another day to play chicken in the road with me!
Hardwood_HD
neither would hurt my truck.. i prolly wouldnt swerve tho so the deer would prolly be in trouble
Nick
Probably snowbank if there was no oncoming traffic. The snowbank might get ya stuck but you can always get pulled out....hitting the deer will damage the vehicle.
007hunter
Hit the deer!! Lucky it was a snowbank and not a telephone pole or other object.
JasonLester
Snowbank or deer I'd take the snow. However if I thought I might go off the road or hit a tree or another car the deer gets it. I'm not getting hurt over a deer. Sometimes swerving will get you worse than hitting the deer.
Shaun_300
If I knew it was gonna be a soft landing I'd go for the snow. A deer can do a lot of damage to a vehicle even at the slowest of speeds. If there was traffic and I had no choice the deer would be getting smucked though. I'd much rather hit a deer than an oncoming car!
stevebeilgard
sure does depend on how deep the ditch is, trees, etc. i generally won't swerve for small animals, only brake. but for a deer, i'll make a quich decision and do what feels right at the moment. but i'm not big on leaving the road
ybronco
After my wife veering off the road last year to miss a deer the snow bank wasn't so soft and caused damage to the tune of $3000.00. Best part she was stuck and had to call for a tow truck to get her out in the mean time State Patrol showed up and asked her what happened she told them a deer jumped out in front of her he gave her a ticket for driving to fast for conditions because she has had her job for 11 years and knows there are alot of deer on the road so she should have been prepared icy roads or not. I say all that to say because of Mr. Trooper are insurance did not cover but if she would have hit the deer they would have. Next time sorry Bambi your going down. wtnhunt
Guess it would all depend on the particulars, but if I had time to be judging and making a decision, I would probably make my best effort to get stopped staying in the road while laying on the horn. Jeramie
Hit the deer!! Lucky it was a snowbank and not a telephone pole or other object. There it is.... If I knew I would hit snow it would be one thing but its a risky move.
