Guest coydog316
My wife thinks it is silly to go to a deer and turkey for our anniversary. So I ask her to go varmint hunting on that glorious day! NO:mad: Rabbit season isn't in so I can't ask her to do that.......it is to cold to fish, I am running out of options here. What's a guy to do? I ask her to go elk hunting with me this fall but....she gave me the you know....... LOOK. What is with the look anyways? Aint marriage great? Jeramie
Perhaps some flowers, a nice dinner and some jewelry? Im thinking Flowers, a nice dinner, and perhaps a new .25-06. You know, you have to set the mood with women...

Yup, Just like Christmas for the parents the last couple years.....I still live with them so Christmas 2 years ago they got a big screen tv and last Christmas they got the surround sound to go along with it. Dubie
I have a similar problem...I can't seem to convince my Fiancee that an African safari would be a great honeymoon....
BearClaw
You could give her a diamond, bow that is! LOL All kidding aside, our wives give up a lot of time for us to pursue our passion and do a lot of things that we could or should be doing. I think you should give up that day and spend it with her with flowers, dinner and a nice present. Life is about relationships and family and showing who is truly number one in your life. Okay, the wife just left the room so let me tell you....no just kidding again. Treat her like a queen for the day!!!
stevebeilgard
i agree with bearclaw. treat her like a queen for the day. all romance, no hunting. (did i just say that....?) and forget jeramie's 25-06 too. it's a bit too light for that elk hunt... lol
RangerClay
Before I give my answer let me ask. Is this a significant anniversary??
jbeck
I'm telling ya, get her a gift certificate at a spa some where. My wife isn't into that kinda thing much, but boy does she ever enjoy it when I send her there. Flowers, and diner. JMO Good luck.
Guest Andrea
Since she isn't in to hunting then you should probably just do what BearClaw suggested. It's just for one day. You'll survive...............and thank us later.
wtnhunt
That is too bad for you. Bought my wife her own rifle for an anniversary gift about 6 or 7 years ago, she was not serious into hunting then, but she is pretty into it now. No chance that she is getting out of hunting and me getting her gun:p:rolleyes:. Our anniversary is in November when the deer season and rut is usually in full swing, would be too cool if we could take an anniversary get away trip hunting somewhere out west:cool:. Do you have a Cabela's nearby? They have something for everyone.

NS whitetail
My 6 year anniversary is this Sunday March 16 , I'm sending my wife and son to Disney World on April 23 for a week it's what she really wants, so as usual, I cave in ( a bunch of her friends and kids are going the same time ) I'm not going, because I will be lobster fishing every day in April -- however -- she tells me that -- she will not give me any hassel when next falls deer season rolls around
BearClaw
You made the right choices!!!! You won't regret it! Have a great time! (I like the Gander Mountain idea too!)
willfish03
My wife's and I will be celebrating our 25th this march 19th. what we have done for the last 5 years. We both take the day off from work, and we take a long hike in the woods. We look at all the wild life, and all the wild spring flowers (she has a book on them) sometimes we get to see some wild turkeys (where there going and where they have been). then we find a quiet little restaurant to have lunch. followed by a stroll through all the antique shops, the little towns in the area have offer. i think its the only day that my wife enjoys scouting with me and I enjoy shopping.
