M00N
2 years? That's nothing! I had mine for 5-years and still have some reverse braces on the backs of my front teeth for the rest of my life. I wish I only had mine for 2 years back in junior high. Seriously though congratulations! I know how excited you must be.

Shaun_300
It sure is a good feeling! Your mouth feels huge when you first get them off, it's weird not to feel a bunch of metal in there. I had them top and bottom for 5 years. And I have the permanent retainers behind my teeth on the front like Nadine by the sounds of it to keep them straight. Don't even notice them! Grant-KS
Yay! before your Prom and everything! It's amazing how weird you look without them once they're off, and how...empty your mouth feels. Congrats! I had 'em 2 years top and bottom, with a chain pulling a stuck tooth on down. Guest Andrea
Braces were NOT fun. And when you get them off your teeth feel huge and you can't keep stop running your tongue over them cause they are so smooth. Had mine from 8th grade through 11th. Back when everyone had the silver ones. Now my wisdom teeth are in and shifting my teeth.
IowaDeerHunter
Yeah seems like it is normal for everyone to have braces nowadays. I thought they were a waste of money. Had braces for two years and wor emy retainer like I was suppose to for another 2 years. After I was all done my teeth all moved back........$3K down the drain. Dubie
I kind of figured they're a waste of money to...Never got them as a kid due to lack of money, never felt the need to get them now. They're all going to rot out eventualy, and my dentures will be nice a straight
WHISKEYSWAMP
congrats! I've been lucky to have pretty good teeth... went to the dentist last month for the first time in probably 10+ years and only had two cavities and have to have a root canal on a tooth that broke on a jaw breaker many years ago. My gf is a dental assistant and is on my behind about getting it done.
WHISKEYSWAMP
Now my wisdom teeth are in and shifting my teeth. better get those suckers pulled before they cause more problem... Mine are still under the gums but my gf says I need to get them out of there before they become a problem... probably have it done next year. The longer you wait the worse it's gonna get. Dubie
All 4 are completely in. One has a cavity. I'm terrified of having them pulled. Sorry for hijackin....... I tried leaving mine in. They ended up breaking at the gum line, with two of them. I got them pulled out on two different days during the goose season. It wasn't so bad. IllinoisArcher
im gonna be the 40 year old with braces some day My mom is 38 and she got her braces the same day i did, she gets hers off the 28th...Oh and my mouth feels really weird right now not having them in:D
M00N
All 4 are completely in. One has a cavity. I'm terrified of having them pulled. Sorry for hijackin....... I had only two of my wisdom teeth break the skin when they came in, the bottom two. On x-rays there is only one trying to form on the top and one completely non-existant that I was told would never exist. I was scheduled to have the two on the bottom pulled because they turned sideways and are hitting the teeth infront of them, but then my dental insurance dropped me and I can't afford the surgery out of pocket. They are a real pain to try to clean when they are turned sideways and I'm pretty sure both have cavities now just because it's impossible to clean the undersides of them, but I can't really do much about it at this point and time. My mom is 38 and she got her braces the same day i did, she gets hers off the 28th...Oh and my mouth feels really weird right now not having them in:D That's cool you and your mom got them at the same time. I bet she's jealous you got yours off before her.

Long as we use pliers and not a string to the door we should be just fine. The pain shouldn't be noticeable after the numbing solution is administered properly. If not we can use the bottle of numbing solution to whack the other over the head with until they pass out. Either way we'd get the job done. :D Maybe we can even make it out for a little hunting afterwards. Though I can't guarantee the best of smiles for the trophy pictures. wtnhunt
Hope it went well for you. Now my wisdom teeth are in and shifting my teeth. Had the same problem after years of retainers, then braces, then retainers again. Ended up with bottom front teeth being squeezed in. Should have had my wisdom teeth pulled before I ever got braces. our 6 year old will end up having to have braces, looking like our 12 year old may not have to.
