stringpicker
I was thinking about getting Kick's Gobblin Choke. I'm looking to get one for my new Franchi I-12. Let me know what you guys think and if you have any other suggestions let me know.
snapper
Honestly...can't really go wrong with an after market choke tube designed for turkey loads. I'd be willing to bet that the Kick's tube will out perform the factory tube. Every gun is different...even in same make and models. Gotta try different chokes and loads to find what your gun likes. HUNTINGMAN
I had a gobblin thunder on my ten guage and I loved it,the only draw back was I couldnt shoot steele or heavy shot through it.They are a lead or copper plated only tube, but man do they make a big difference in the pattern and are well worth the money. If you could shoot heavy shot through it that is what I would have bought to put on my new benneli. elkoholic
Chances are any after market choke tube will improve performance but it is an unknown which one will work the best. I am not sure how many people can afford to try out multiple choke tubes just to see which one performs the best. I also use a gobblin thunder on my Remington 12 gauge ultra mag and I am very satisfied with the results I get.
CamoGuy
I use a TruGlo Gobblestopper Xtreme and I love it. TruGlo makes both the StrutStopper Xtreme and GobbleStopper Xtreme for Franchi. The StrutStopper is .643" internal diameter and the Gobblestopper is .665" internal diameter, so the StrutStopper would give you a slightly tighter pattern. mo_hunter
I've had great luck with all the guns I've patterned with kicks gobblin thunder. Talk to kicks and they'll help set you up for the size shot you want to shoot with the right diam. choke and then pattern your shotgun with a few different shells and see what's the best. Winchester supreme has always thrown the best pattern for me.
