8ptbuckpa
I am sure most of you have probably read about this but here is the link for G5's press release the thing that makes me mad is that my sight has been ordered since january and nothing yet, and these bows are supposed to have start shipping today:eek: http://g5outdoors.com/news/article.php?id=15 have a good day:D Brad
AdvantageTimberLou
But Brad you know the real story what is going on with G5 and Ross archery. Its a bad deal for both and probably took a ton of time to get this all worked out and for G5 to start selling their Quest line of bows which is reality are Cardiacs. As for the sight, for what the price is of that new one, it better be top shelf! Very pricey and I thought the Optix ME at $160.00 was steep!! The new one is even more!! 8ptbuckpa
I paid $149 with tax:D I was curious so I had to ask me dealer what he knew since he is an authorized dealer for both, told me G5 was left with enough parts to make 1700 bows, there first one will look like identical copies of the cardiac, however they will improve the design once they get them sold. Also that Ross is pretty much done and only way they will come back is if its under a different owner.

Chrud
I've been reading a lot on other forums about the G5 / Ross split and lawsuit. I don't know if all that has been said is true or not, but, in my opinion, I don't think Ross will be around much longer. The company I work for has had customers that couldn't pay the bills and it wasn't long before something more serious happened to them (chapter 11, closed down, etc.). Unfortunately, those situations sound too familiar to Ross' situation. Of course, that is just speculation on my part too.
AdvantageTimberLou
I agree, you don't pay your bills how will you find a new supplier to help make parts? They know your history and in today's economy its a big risk, especially in the already competitive bow market.
Randy
Ross has been primarily made by G5. Ross split and G5 is just taking over. You can expect to pay $649 for the new bows as they have cut down the cost in the "middle man". (ie. Ross) From what I've heard they want to have the "best hunting priced bow" on the market and want to keep the price below $700. I love the bows so, if they can keep my cost down, all the better!! AdvantageTimberLou
I agree Randy, with the competitive bow market, he who has the best quality for the best price will win. G5 makes some great components to the next level of making bows will be easy for the Grace family! Wish them a ton of success!
