Guest Turtle
And once again Jr. only Hendricks in top 5 or 10 for that matter Glad to see Childress do well, hasn't been a lot of talk about them lately. Guess that'll change.
craig mack
WOOOOOHOOOOOO!!!!!! Congrats to Jeff Burton. I've been a Burton fan since he was with Roush along with Martin and Musgrave, when I worked there. I hope he can keep it going all season long. Chrud
18 goes for a spin. Hendrick should have never brought Eury Jr along with Dale Jr. They'll never win a championship.
Randyman
Definitely good to see Jeff Burton in Victory Lane. He is one of the few class acts left in Nascar.
craig mack
What happened to Waltrips voice? He probably lost it when he was kissing all that toyota butt last week. He should have used a sick day, he sounded like he was drinking gravel all night long.

Yep and 18 still leading points:D About Eury JR. well Hendricks has two past Champs that seem to be behind the 88 every week so he must be doing something right. Imagine all of Japan yelling, "Boogity, Boogity, Boogity" all night long and Darrell leading the chorus!! :D In reality it was a serious case of laringitis (sp?) I think you are missing the point. Is Junior up front and leading a bunch of laps each week? Top 5's and top 10's are nice, but unless you are leading laps, making the right calls on pit road and winning, you won't have a chance in the last 10 races. Guest Turtle
Name all past champions that have led more laps and won more races than Jr. this year. He uses same equipment as Johnson, and Gordan, they share all information, and yet the 88 consistently runs better. I'd say he's making better calls than most. Don't forget the 88 won his first two races has led a lot of laps And finished second to a car you said should of been DQ'd a couple weeks ago
Nick
I was 100% satisfied with that 1,2,3 finish for Childress Racing. Tony Stewart got a boot from Harvick right at the end but I don't think Harvick meant to spin him out....He hit the apron which slid him up the track into Stewart. 4 Chevys in the top 5 is an excellent weekend as far as I'm concerned......It was about time....Just surpised Hendrick hasnt got a win yet. OJR
Sorry to say, I wasn't able to watch the race! Of course, I am pleased as can be to see that neither JG or JJ were in the top 10! Another great weekend!

His two "wins" didn't pay points. He hasn't won a points race WITH EURY JR in almost two years...what aren't you understanding? Whar did Jeff Gordon's 9th place average finish in last year's Chase get him?
VermontHunter
His two "wins" didn't pay points. He hasn't won a points race WITH EURY JR in almost two years...what aren't you understanding? Whar did Jeff Gordon's 9th place average finish in last year's Chase get him? EXACTLY .. Unless you are winning races and collecting those BONUS points top 10's and 5's aren't going to get you a thing ... :( I think this is why Gordon and his team are trying new things this year and it's just not going their way .. But he has dug himself out of a huge whole and is getting closer to that top 10 list .. Don't get me wrong,,, it's great to see Jr. doing well,
AdvantageTimberLou
Junior is doing good but if he wants a championship, he needs the wins, the wins get you bonus points for the chase and in the chase, I see the guy winning it all has to win at least 4 to 5 races in the Chase itself to be the champ. Top 5's is not going to do it. Gotta win races!!!
snapper
All they have to do is make the chase...then worry about winning...this isn't rocket science. Felt bad for Stewart (although I'm not a fan), he had a good car and was def. in for a top 3 finish. Glad to see Harvick took credit for the accident and Stewart didn't make a hugh deal about it...you could tell he bit his lip in that interview. The media wanted to make more out of it...but those two being friends...certainly changed that.
Guest Turtle
You said he has to lead laps and win races. He has since move to Hendricks. You said he'll not be a contender, he's contending. You keep saying Tony will hold will Jr. back at Hendricks, but you have nothing to support that. You compare the 88's year so far to anyone else and your conclusions are groundless. Guest Turtle
18 goes for a spin. Hendrick should have never brought Eury Jr along with Dale Jr. They'll never win a championship. What I'm not understanding is what you base this statement on? Yes you have to lead laps and win races to have a chance, and so far this year they have ran as well as anyone. They are fifth in points with a 40th place finish from early crash, you can hardly blame that on Tony. Maybe I could get it if they were finishing behind their teammates each week. Maybe if they just couldn't seem break into top 12. But when they run well you still find something negative to say, no I don't get it. They outperform most other teams week in and week out and that's just not good enough.
SuperMn106
If Junior keeps running up front the wins will come in time. You can not blame last year on Eury Jr, it was not his fault the car kept having failures all the time. If you do not have good equipment you can not win a race. This year they have good cars and are having good finishes. Eury Jr knows Jr better than anyone and they know how to communicate.

When it comes crunch time, Dale and Eury aren't on the same page. Not pitting at Daytona...not pitting at Bristol. Who knows what would have happened. Eury isn't championship material. They'll be much more consistent at Hendrick, that has already been proven. But when the pressure is on, Eury isn't the guy he should have on top of the box.
