Nick
What in the world were they thinking when they let him commentate that Bristol race?!?! I don't care for his commentating in the first place, but he couldnt even talk!!!! Thats was a poor decision by Fox....I'm sorry, but that just drove me nuts.......if you need a commentator that bad....put me in the booth! OJR
When DW is around, I use the "mute" button!!!
unioncountyslayer
Boogidie Boogidie Boogidie! :D:D I love DW! He's not "polished", that's for sure. But that's what I miss most about NASCAR. To many people involved that don't have the first dern clue about racing!
BowJoe
I personally like DW, Larry Mac and Jeff Hammond. They do a heck of a lot better job than the ESPN crew. People always talk about how annoying they are but I really like the "Southern" side of the commentating. One thing I don't like is the Basketball player and his analysis of the races. He knows next to nothing about the sport yet he seems to talk the most in the pre-race show. Talk about a man out of his element. Just because you played a sport doesn't mean you know about all sports.
Guest Turtle
Couldn't just give him the day off. Already had The Old MDew car there and sponsors to give him the car. It was undefeated in I think 4 races at Bristol. They had basically planned the pregame show around him being there.
Chrud
That was horrible. They should have put Hammond in the booth, or anyone else from SPEED that was there.

Just because you played a sport doesn't mean you know about all sports. That "basketball player" (Brad Dougherty) actually was part owner of either a truck or Busch team for a while. He's been a part of Nascar for a while now. He probably knows a little more than what you may think. I was never a big DW fan but I don't mind him in the booth. However... last week with him not having his voice... that was awful!
