rhine16
Since we havent talked about it much and this room has been completely DEAD to non-Nascar fans, here are a couple of my thoughts on the Big Dance. Please feel free to argue with me:rolleyes: , we need to get some conversations going again:D -Eric Gordon and Indiana will not beat Arkansas -Memphis will not make it to the Elite Eight -George Mason will not be this year's George Mason -Putting Butler as a 7 seed was the biggest snub of any -None of the classic 12 seed upsets of #5 will happen -Vandy recieved way too low of a seed... Should've been 6 or 7 -Wisconsin should be the 3 seed they are... if not 4 (that's for you Finn ) -Davidson will knock off Gonzaga -The Pac 10 will be a huge disappointment with the exception of UCLA -The Georgia Xavier game is going to have huge upset possibilities So.... Mr Bracketology has spoken Tell me what you disagree and/or agree with
unioncountyslayer
I agree on everything except the 12 seed upset. I think Winthrop has a good chance of beating Washington State. Don't forget Winthrop beat Notre Dame last year when no on gave them a chance. Although they are a small school from a weak conference, they are well coached. rhine16
Thinking Washington State is a 4 seed.... I agree with you on that possibility. I personally didnt pick it that way, but it could very well happen

Mr Bracketology has spoken Tell me what you disagree and/or agree with Indiana will beat Arkansas. Memphis is a weak #1 but they should make it to the Elite 8....no further though. No way Georgia beats Xavier. They will be back to Earth by the time the tourney starts. At first glance I did not see any 5-12 upsets either. toddyboman
Will Kansas actually win some games or bow out early like normal:eek:
MCH
The Memphis that beat down Georgetown will return during the tournament and they'll be in the final. West Virginia can beat Duke...Arizona may be tougher. Texas lucked out and got in a weak half-bracket. Stanford will be tough, but Augustine's experience should pull them through. Sienna has the best chance to knock off a 4 seed. Butler will be upset over the 7 seed and lose in a heartbreaker to North Carolina. And finally, OU will lose by 10 to St. Joe's in the first round. :D:D:D Not betting my life on those predictions since I've only watched Sportscenter most of the year, but I have got a little invested.:D Oh and I'm still up in the air on the winner. Right now I'm leaning towards Kansas, but its either them or North Caroline. Haven't decided who's coming out of that side of the bracket. rhine16
West Virginia can beat Duke...Arizona may be tougher. Agreed that Duke is very beatable, but i dont like WV's chances. Not too good of a ball team if you ask me..
rhine16
PLEASE........thats almost insulting. I assume you're talking about the Wisconsin with the three seed... I've watched them play a handful of times this year and have not been impressed at all. They won a WEAK big ten. The Big Ten and the SEC have been neck and neck for the worst conference all year
Tominator
Another wide open year I think. Here's my bold prediction, no big 10 team will be in the sweet 16.
ksbowhntr77
Another wide open year I think. Here's my bold prediction, no big 10 team will be in the sweet 16. Very well could be a wide open year!........ I think the BIG 12 will do better than most think they will, they will be hard to beat...... they've practiced beating up on one another all year. The Texas teams aren't goin' to roll over and die either, they'll play........Kansas State may disappoint me though.....Beasley & Co. may have gotten in, BUT will THEY play?????????....... to be determined
rhine16
I actually think it isn't wide open this year. To me, wide open would be in sense that the top 4 or 5 seeds in each have very legit shots to win it all. For me, all the number 1's, two of the 2's and one 3 seed has a shot at it. Think this is somewhat of a down year for college basketball. Either that, or there are 4 or 5 really really good teams.

Should've been 6 or 7 Agreed, Shan Foster is good, but that is about all Vandy has -Wisconsin should be the 3 seed they are... if not 4 (that's for you Finn ) Agreed -Davidson will knock off Gonzaga Disagree -The Pac 10 will be a huge disappointment with the exception of UCLA For the most part agree -The Georgia Xavier game is going to have huge upset possibilities Disagree Here is what i say
