DU_man_84
i was wondering if i could get some help, im gonna be a new outboard, maybe even a new boat to replace the old one, anyways i have a 1977 evinrude 25hp outboard, electric start, steering wheel, all the cables and throttle box are in good shape, the catch is the outboard does not have a lower unit and i dont want to replace just sell it, the powerhead and the whole upper part of the outboard is in great condition have never had a problem with any of it, and i was wondering if anyone knew anything about outboards if they could help me out thinking out what it might be worth without a lower unit if i sold it
LifeNRA
Different areas are going to dictate prices. Best thing to do would be to contact the local boating shop and see what they are asking. Maybe you can even search on the net and find some prices. Good luck!
Texan_Til_I_Die
Doubt if it's worth much. Might get a hundred bucks for it.
Shaun_300
Doubt if it's worth much. Might get a hundred bucks for it. Yeah I was thinking around the same, might be tough to find a lower unit for that too.
DU_man_84
Doubt if it's worth much. Might get a hundred bucks for it. thats what i was thinking but a i see people on ebay selling motors pretty much similiar with lower units to it and they are getting 800-900 bucks, and i can get a refurnished lower unit for it for 300 bucks but i dont want to and it seems just without a lower unit i might be able to get something more than a 100 bucks
Randy
I think Waterfowlers drive up the prices on the smaller outboards. That's why you can get 8-9 hundred bucks for them. IMO these guys are right, without a lower unit it's not worth much.
