Guest bbd
due to some shoulder surgery on both shoulders ( rotator cuff ) I have not got back to the poundage I'd like to. I currently shoot a Bowtech Tomkat set at 45# and would like some input on how to strenghten my shoulders up. Thanks all
Tominator
I would think your doctor or PT could give you some. I'd guess some light work with dumbells.
fly
Tominator is right. Check with your doctor because he might know something we don't. However, you may want to review this web site for recommended exercises. http://familydoctor.org/online/famdocen/home/healthy/physical/injuries/265.html
stevebeilgard
you may want to talk to people who have the same problems. go to www.pcba-inc.org and ask this question.
Leo
Serious Physical Therapy with that goal in mind. I dislocated both shoulders in 2003. It took a combination of first using just therabands and finally switching to just drawing and letting down a light recurve on a daily basis. Talk to a physical therapist before attempting this. Overdoing it on healing shoulders can be a disaster. Your shoulders need to be well healed before attempting to roll over cams on a compound. It personally took me nine months to get there. PotashRLS
Don't Overdue It! Those buggers have a tendency to go bad again and require more surgeries. Take your time with PT and ask them a lot of questions. Keeping your shoulders limber and not loosing your range of motion is as important as strength training. Good Luck.
