kingfisherfd2
Well, I've been looking at my bow, Hoyt MagnaTec ZR200 I got this as a used bow. All I did when I got it was put on a Whisker Biscuit. So I think that I will be upgrading some of the components on it. I have a couple other things that I know that I'm going to do. One, I'm getting a custom string made for it. Not sure who I'm going to get it from. I've seen BuckNasty mentioned lots but can't find a website it order to contact them. I want to buy some Alpha Shox for my limbs. And I'm looking into a new sight. I want something that I will be able to have better low light visibility. But I haven't figured out what I will get. Any suggestions on this would be great. I have a cobra right now with 4 pins on it. But don't know if I want to shoot multiple pins or if I want a single pin adjustable. So I guess I'm wanting to know what some of you think about sites that are good at low light levels. What are the Pro's and Con's that you notice from single pin adjustable to multi-pin sites? Probably going to be getting some new carbon sticks this season too, but that is kinda 6 of one half dozen another type of opinion.
8ptbuckpa
here is John's phone number for the bucknasty and email also 828 680 9862 [email protected] I recommend going with the Halo serving so the strings will be about $75. For a sight look into this http://www.bowparts.com/g52718.html comes with a new light that has 8 settings and a movable fourth pin so you can shoot from 50 yards out if you want. Also try www.victoryarchery.com love their arrows Brad
kingfisherfd2
8pt. Thanks for John's number. I don't even have to dial area code. He must be somewhere near by. I guess everyone must agree with you. No one else is suggesting anything else.
8ptbuckpa
no,its just that as on anything in archery it is all opinion based information, like all the info I gave are Items I have or have on order(sight:D), but I feel they are among the best all though the price adds up quick. kingfisherfd2
Well I'm looking on ebay and found the G5 Optix ME. Looks like the precursor to the XL. I also talked with Bucknasty and need to see if any of my bow hunting partners are looking to get a new string for their setups too. I'm really getting excited about getting my bow set back up and getting to get it so I know that the arrows are flying to the same spot everytime. I'm wanting to get it set up so I can get it tuned and really work on my form over the summer. I want the confidence in my shot placement to be excellent. phil

Pinwheel5
An STS is an accessory that I add to every new bow I have had the last 4 years. There are many other string suppressors out there and I have tried a lot of them. They all work, I just like the STS guys. Look at it this way, if they did not work, why would a lot of bow companies start adding them to their bows as a standard piece of equipment? Guest Finn
Sounds like you're all set with a great sight. I'd recommend you check out Gold Tip XT Hunter arrows. I have the pro hunters and love them, but will probably save a couple bucks and get the XTs next time.

I put a STS on my Switchback XT and all I can say is Wow! It really made a difference. Also, look in to getting a G5 Meta peep. Sounds like you found a good sight. I was going to say look in to the HHA one pin sights. I switched to them from SpotHogg and I'm much happier. You also might want to consider a drop away rest such as the QAD Ultra. This rest offers the containment of the WB while also functioning as a drop away. Above all, have fun!
kingfisherfd2
I got my sight in the mail yesterday. Put it on this morning. G5 has some sweet optix. The pins are really bright. I need to call and get my string ordered. No more waiting around on the friends whom are dragging their feet and not making decisions. kingfisherfd2
Finally sent an email off to Bucknasty this morning. Tan/Black and Green/Black string with Green serving and tan loop material. Decided that I'm going to match my G5 ME up with a Meta Peep too. Now I need to figure out what size Meta Peep that I want to shoot. My current peep is 1/4". Would anyone be able to tell me the reason I would want to go down to the 3/16". Would it improve my accuracy? Does it force you to have a smaller site picture? Ready to get that new string and start shooting again. I didn't want to site the bow in with the new site until I get the new string on the bow. No sense in doing it all over again when I get the custom one.

kingfisherfd2
I was at Gander Mountain last night and found the Meta Peeps, I decided to get the 1/4" Now I'm just waiting on the string and need to get the Alpha Shox. Never know, might get a STS too.
hutchies
So many things you can do............... Check out Xtreme Strings as well. Robert Ingram makes a great string and the servings are very, very tight and will hold up for a long time without having to pay the extra for halo serving. kingfisherfd2
Well well, my string arrived, and I went to Gander Mountain and had that installed. Also had my 1/4" meta peep put in and a pair of string leachs. So first time shoot my bow with the new string it is 4" High and 8" or so right.I started adjusting my site and it is really close up and down, but I am still 2 inches right and I have moved my site as far to the right that I can. So, any suggestions for something to use as a spacer so that the sight can move back left. I can't even see the entire ring of the sight, like 3/4 of it. the other 1/4 is behind my riser. I wouldn't have thought changing the string would have moved it that far to the right unless maybe it got out of time
