Texan_Til_I_Die
Shot these last weekend while I was fishing Choke Canyon Lake in South Texas. Saw 5 different gators ranging from about 8 foot to over 12 foot while I was fishing. Also saw one put the munch on a coot. Biggest explosion I've ever seen in freshwater. Texan_Til_I_Die
Nope, just standing there in my bass boat. They didn't seem too worried about me, they'd just swim right by.

Leo
I bet they would hit a topwater. Then what Actually Gators love those snagless floating frogs. Around here if you toss one of those things in the weeds enough eventually a gator is gonna steal one. They hide real good in that stuff and sometimes you think you got King Daddy Bucketmouth. That is until they come up for air. On good bass tackle you can often whip one that's under six foot long and release him unharmed. They get tired quickly at that size and isn't the epic battle you might imagine. When they get longer than that they really put on the muscle. Kiss froggy good-bye. Down here you never know for sure what's gonna smack that frog back in the weeds. Could be a bass, gar, grinnel, snake, bullfrog or alligator. Makes it interesting Nice gator pictures. I'm glad they are not as mean as africa's crocodiles. Or I probably wouldn't fish or hunt around here anymore. This area of the country is pretty polluted with them.
