Guest Sully
Has anyone ever tried one of those holographic sights? I have a Beretta CX-4 Storm in .45 Auto that I am considering putting a red dot sight on it. Do you think the holographic red dots are better than the tube type? I've got a red dot with the tube on a beretta neos. I really like it, but it's just a little target/squirrel gun. What are you using the gun for? Surely it's not a CCW gun if your planning on putting a sight on it. I've not seen the high end models up close, but the lesser ones would not be very effective in full light situations. doubleA
The Beretta Cx4 is a carbine length rifle not a handgun so a quick reflex or red dot would work great on it. I think it's going to be personal preference and what kind of money you want to spend. The EOtech m512 is nice though a little heavy but are very tough. If so, where are you going to mount it?

They are useful when wanting to mount lights, lasers, optics etc. using the standard picatinny(mil spec 1913) system.

Hoosierbuck
Like double A said, EOTech is what the military uses and I think that would be the ticket on a shorty carbine like that. Keep both eyes open and hit where you're aiming.
johnf
Here's a couple pics with scopes. Seem kinda high to me and doesn't look very stable. This looks like the way to go to me.
Huntr104
I have an Aimpoint Comp ML3 on my AR. I chose that over the EOtech.
Dubie
I almost bought the CX4 storm for a plinker. Unfortunatly, it was one of the latest guns to fall into the restricted catagory, as its one of the guns the latest psycho used to shoot up a Montreal school. No longer worth the headache.
