Turkeygirl
Anyone have any plans yet for the spring/summer? Going any where....doing anything...vacations? Of course when I finish school in May, it'll be turkey season...and probably working good old custodial...then time to get ready hopefully for a summer like last summer at the Env. Ed Camp near here run by the NY State Dept. of Env. Conservation. Then back to school in August:eek:
HuntingInMaine
If we ever get a summer this year I'll be doing lots of fishing, a camping trip or two, co-ed softball will be starting so I've got to get into shape for that , and lots of time on the ATV's. Too bad I have to fit work in there too....
cinch314
I WAS gonna go a the Cross Canadian Cruise with my friend but that looks like its gonna be next year. Nothing really, just making food plots and scouting and playing with my little girl. She is too little to remember any place that I want to take her so I guess Ill just save up OUR money until then. (I do not have anything of my own anymore) I told her the other day to go ride her 4 whlr, the pink camo one I bought her, nope she went to MY 4 whlr and wanted a ride lol.) Guest Andrea
Maintaining some semblance of sanity while my kids are out of school. Hopefully getting our new house finished. M00N
I'll be getting ready for the appraiser(s) to come to the house and appraise it. Then we'll have a long wait for the airport to come make their offer to buy our house. If all goes well up to this point, hopefully before the summer is over, we'll start land/house shopping and either remodeling an existing house we buy or building our own again from the ground up. Besides that boring/annoying stuff I have a May turkey hunting trip coming up for a week of morning hunting with evenings left to trout fishing, scouting and doing some wildlife photography. Then when I get back from my turkey hunting trip I plan to get my bow setup changed drastically and to be practicing like a mad woman to tune it again in time for archery season. Deb
Yard work, paint the living room, drop a tree, and finish unpacking from the move-in (hopefully give most of it away or throw it away). Then fish, camp and do fun stuff. I am going down to GA for a long weekend to see my brother and his family the first of May. We'll get down to hunt camp for a day or two, move stands and maybe turkey hunt. His wife will come up with me to visit her dad. And, I'm picking up my fishing license, range permit, and hunting license today at lunch:D. Plan on getting a line wet this weekend!! Gonna give some waxworms a dip. *Camo_Girl*
I'll probably get some food plots up, fish, shoot my bow, shoot the guns a few times, play some sports, ride my ATV, and try to keep myself busy while I'm out of school.:D:D And maybe grow some stuff in a garden. Still thinking about that.
mrswtnhunt
Looks like my plans for this summer include: Work, work, work.....all day long, crank it up, back it up, bring it on home....(anybody recognize these lyrics, love that song) but it is so true... mandatory overtime, on call all the freakin time. Always short handed. Sometimes I wonder if I picked the right profession. Nursing is hard and there aren't enough of us to go around. cinch314
My mother would have to agree with you mrswtnhunt. Her job keeps firing the nurses and it keeps mom pretty busy handling her patients then theirs too. Also, she is on call a lot more often. BowtechsWife
My main goal this summer is to keep the kids at peace...it's going to be a long one unless the kids find some friends in our new location. Otherwise, I'll just be awaiting the rebuild of our house. We did plan to spend some weekends camping & fishing, however our favorite spots are currently flooded. Have a feeling this is now off the agenda.
