TexasDeerHunter
In looking at AR rifles with 16in barrels chambered in .223, what rate of twist ( 1: 9, or 1:7 ) works best and why?
huntinguide
depends on what gr. bullet or the business of your rifle longer bullets require more twist
TexasDeerHunter
depends on what gr. bullet or the business of your rifle longer bullets require more twist Yes, I understand all that. Just wanting to know specifically if there is any advantage in the AR's with 16in barrels. I have one guy who swears by Colt and 1:7 only, but I am thinking that for a defense/truck gun/ shoot a few deer here and there that it really won't matter much.
