wildthing
guys (and gals) I was on my way to work this morning and had a pretty cool encounter with some mature gobblers. I live out in the country...so I am always seeing wildlife...this morning I had 2 big toms run right out in front of me. I watched them walk into an open field. Just over a little knob in the field, I could see about 6 more birds...a mixture of toms, jakes, and hens. The 2 mature toms that ran out in front of me kind of stopped for a second once they were up on the bank going into the field. I put my window down and simply mouth called a few times...they started gobbling back! It was pretty cool...I had them going for a few minutes! Definitely a memory I won't forget any time soon.
