Don't you just hate it...

when you drive 100 miles, planning to spend 1000+ dollars, and the store has every gun in the world except the one you want? Yup, it happened to me. I went to Whittaker guns in Owensboro KY this morning, which is pretty much the only place I'll buy a gun, due to their selection and prices. Today I had my heart set on a Rock River Arms standard length A2, in the .223 Wylde. They had a whole wall of AR's, in 2 rows. Unfortunately, they didn't have the one I wanted. I could have gotten a good deal on the same gun in an A4, ($800) but I really want an A2, because I don't wanna spend a couple hundred bucks on a scope for it also. They also had the A2 with a stainless barrel, but it was incredibly heavy compared to any of the guns without that, so I passed on it as well.

For those of you who are a little smarter than me, what would be the difference between a Rock River std. A2, and the same thing from Armalite? They did have one from armalite, and it looked identical, but everything on it rattled. I know a fair amount about these guns, just not so much about how they are put together. I noticed that none of the Rock River guns had any rattle in them, but several of the other brands did. Is this just because someone didn't turn a couple screws tight enough of the other brands, or is there just that much of a difference in quality?
