Turkeygirl
So my Red Dot and scope mount and all that fun stuff "should" be there when I get home. My question is, I know how to put a scope on the bracket, but how do you know which notches to put it in? Do you just mount it according to where you can look through it when you have the gun shoulder? How do I adjust and sight in the Red Dot? I'm planning on using some small game loads initally to get the Red Dot sighted in, then once that is done, shoot some turkey loads to see what patterns best. How far or close to the target should I be when adjusting the scope...and once it is set at that distance, will it be set at other distances...? thanks guys! Will post a photo of the turkey getter when it's all decked out:cool:
Guest Outcast
I sighted mine in with slugs, then when I had it centered good, I put the bird barrel on and used turkey loads. That worked real well for me. I had very slight adjustments to make then just to center my pattern. I start shooting at 20 yards and get my pattern centered, then move to 30 and adjust if needed, then 40 and do the same. Then I go back and shoot the 20 and 30 yard targets again to make sure Im still centered at close range too.

wtnhunt
If you have not already gotten it Ruth, would think you could sight it in pretty well the same as you would a rifle or any other gun. I will usually try to bore sight guns and get them as close as I can get them before doing anything else, could be done pretty easily with a shotgun too I guess.
