sskybnd Posted March 30, 2008 Report Share Posted March 30, 2008 the question i have is we are wanting to give our deer the highest protien we can, we are feeding them soybeen meal thats 48%protien and rice brain for the calcium, we were thinking about adding cottonseed meal thats 41%protine, the question is what kind of ratio of cottenseed meal would we add to keep our deer from getting gosspoltoxation? A good reference for this would be an article in the latest Deer & Deer Hunting mag. subtitled " Uncovering the Mysteries of Rumination ". The " Amazing Rumen " pg. 17. Read this then decide.
