stevebeilgard
they're not cashews, steve. i can read... lol. i'll tell you all about nuts when you're out here antelope hunting. a little "cowboy poetry", which i used to do. the sign up on the cafe wall said "oysters, 50 cents". "how quaint", the blue eyed sweetheart said, with some bewildermence. "i didn't know they served such fare, out here, upon the plains". "or shore", her cowboy date replied. "we're really quite urbane". the rest will come... maybe. but only in wyoming and after some adult refreshments. i have to be plied.....lol

aksheephuntress
...That would be awesome...as many of you that can make it! -and if you can't...care packages of moose steaks sent , for sure...maybe even some of Buckee's barbequed beaver tail!-LOL...hope he can make the trip... -You girls that can't make it...(hopefully you can, though-maybe you'll change your mind..?)...maybe we can text you all a play-by-play of the hunt? -It'll either be a float trip with canoes , north of here...down to this awesome remote base -camp site....Prime moose and bear country- with amazing fishing for Rainbow, Grayling, and Dolly Varden...or- a fly-in to an absolutely beautiful little moose hunting honey-hole called Upper Paradise...with awesome fishing as well...and a nice cabin.(Vern flies people in there, very reasonably, from Moose Pass). -Would like to hear of everyone's preferences , and what would be their absolute Alaskan Dream Hunt- -With SteveB. up here , it will be a truly great hunt- and if we are lucky enough to get Buckee Steve ,also- well ,I couldn't imagine a better combo than that. -Hey, now....where did Tim go? ...This picture is from an '04 moose hunt- different forked horn harvested ; -called Vern on the satellite phone just to haul out the meat...he was so nice, to give me a lift back too, at no charge...saved me a hike out of there! -Awesome country...one of my favorite bear hunting spots, too...huge rainbow trout come out of there...and sheep are all over, on top-(just closed to permit -only for sheep, a few years back, though-...)
