Tim Andrus
Thank god , back up has arrived ! Thanks Buckee! Next time im in Florida , Im bringing Andrea a beef tongue!! Years ago in nebraska I was introduced to rocky mountain oysters. I had to cowboy up and try them. They were good deepfried with hot sauce. And they were from the calves. So I guess when in Rome , do as the romans! tim

aksheephuntress
..Outdoorgirl.....somehow I KNEW you would get to this before I had a chance to find the recipie!-HOLD ON!......(no fair....you've got 5-hr time diff. jump on me.....) -I think I'm close to finding it- -It'll be worth waiting for!... -And MOON....Come on....take a ride on the wild side, why don't ya?!-you don't have to be so NORMAL....- open your mind..broaden your horizons....I think you will like these delicious dishes, once you try them! aksheephuntress
.....OK: This is driving me NUTS!-can't seem to find the recipie.... So...I'll just wing it-(that's how I end up cooking most of the time, anyway...I really have a problem following recipies...I tend to get creative when I cook;although I learned the hard way, when I blew up a bread machine, one time....) Here we go: MOUNTAIN MOOSE NUGGETS.....(or any other kind of nuts....guess it doesn't really matter who's they are...)...I'm sorry...I just can't call them "oysters"...I mean- an oyster's an oyster-:rolleyes:I just can't separate the two tastes in my mind...if you're going to eat nuts, why not call them nuts? Anyway.... -First off...rub the nuts in a marinade of olive oil, lemon juice, a shot of milk, minced garlic,Paprika,Rosemary ,coarse -ground pepper , and rock salt.-Cover and put in the ice box for a couple of days...... -When you take them out,- slice them into about 1/2 " thick slices...(and DON'T wash your nuts...you need to keep that marinade on them... -When you're ready to eat 'em.....go ahead and sautee up an entire onion, along with a bunch of more freshly minced garlic....in a stick of butter.....( I do this every night for the start of every supper).- ...Right before laying the nuts in the skillet with the onions, go ahead and put in your next round of seasonings...(careful, now...this is where it's gotta be subtle ,for getting the proper flavor..sometimes I go overboard...)- and I always sear my seasonings in the skillet right before, instead of putting directly on whatever I'm going to cook...... -salt -pepper -a TOUCH of cayenne -bit of paprika -a shot of red wine -a small handfull of honey(well, do the best you can....see, I knew I would need to find that recipie!) -and in about 2 egg-whites per nut, dip your nuts in it, then bread LIGHTLY in your fav. breading... -Cook your nuts until dark golden brown on each side....don't overcook!-cook it like you're pan-frying up fish...... :Here's the good part...... -Dip your cooked nuts in this special sauce (my own creation): -Mayo -Finely ground horseradish -Ranch dressing -Paprika -a shot of Tabasco sauce .....and there you have it! -nuts ready to eat! -What's not to like??! M00N
If someone has a laptop, we can play Deer Hunter 2005 in the car, lmbo Ruth, I have two laptops at the moment that can play these games. We should bring both and link them up in the car and have multiplayer hunts. LOL! Just have to watch the one laptop is tempermental and will burn your leg when the fan randomly stops working. I'll even just for Steve, reinstall Deer Hunter 2004 and put the mod pack I have in that lets you hunt deer with only a knife.
