bluelund79 Posted March 31, 2008 Report Share Posted March 31, 2008 My previous Ruger liked both the Hornady Light Mag 117gr and the Winchester Ballistic SilverTips in I believe 115gr. I traded it for my new Tikka T3, and I have quite the test loads to compare Federal Fusion 120gr Winchester Ballistic SilverTips 115gr Hornady Lt Mag-117gr Hornady Boattails 117gr, and Triple Shok 117gr Remington CoreLokt 120gr Winchester Super X-115gr? Also have the amount needed for barrel break in. You'll love that caliber, it has some real mild recoil, but it sure barks like it has a bite! Happy Shooting. Let us know how your Encore turns out, I am actually starting to look at them for my wife for when she starts deer hunting with me either this year or next.... davetucker Posted April 1, 2008 Report Share Posted April 1, 2008 my wife uses 100 gr corelokts and did her just fine!!Her rifle is a browning stainless stalker meddalion(sp)!!Awesome rifle!!She likes the oppertunity for more than one shot!!I prefer my pro-hunter!!
