IowaDeerHunter
I'm still waiting for the April Fools............ I was kinda thinking the same think Hutchies.....I mean how hard would it be for all the mods to PM eachother and drop Buckee's status to Monster Buck, just seems like such a coincidence that it is April Fool's day and something big like this happens!:D:rolleyes:

LifeNRA
As much as we joke about the Realtree Moderator ATV incentive package , it really isn't a paid position, he isn't an employee of Realtree. If he doesn't want to moderate anymore, so be it. As long as Steve is still around, that's fine with me. Volunteering to moderating a bunch of online adult babies doesn't sound like much fun to me..... DITTO!!! If he wants to quit being a mod. Thats his decision! As long as he still hangs around! Steve, I am behind you all the way!
ruttinbuc
I respect Steve for whatever decision he makes on being a mod or not. He has certainly without a doubt gone above and beyond in making this one of the best forums on the internet. When Scott came calling for volunteers way back when, Steve stepped up to the plate and offered his service. Over the years he was there for each and everyone who is or was a member here. Regardless of who you were, what and how you hunted, where you were from, etc., etc., he treated everyone in a fair and respectful manner. Ever so humble and always polite he took a lot of abuse that was really uncalled for. In turn he dealt with those issues in a way as to not disrupt the integrity of the forums. All of this on his time and sacrifice. I can't begin to fathom how much. I would have needed a break a long time ago.
AdvantageTimberLou
Sounds just like an April Fool's to me. Pretty silly one if you ask me because this forum would not be where its at without Buckee. Face it, to me he will always be the guy I go to with issues. Face it, the place pretty much runs itself so all this moderator title is, is just that, a title. They have plenty of them on here to help out so I can't see where all the workload is. Just an April Fool's joke and that is all it is. If he is gone then let me fill in, give me a day or two with moderator powers and you'll be begging Buckee to come back!! :D:D

If it is true, eh so what, if he needs this, then so be it mumbles to myself, it must of been that hunter dan thread i made that pushed him over the edge

drkillemquick
I agree!!!!!! While I will miss having Steve as a mod, I am sure he has his reasons for leaving that position, and I will respect that decision. I agree, we'll miss you as a mod, just glad you're still going to stick around!
VermontHunter
Take notice folks ,, this is NOT a April Fools Joke ... :( I just hope Scott takes notice and see's fit to weight in with some wisdom and resolve this issue by getting our favorite and most helpful mod to reconsider .. I'm calling for a complete re-reinstatement of Sir. Buckee and we all need to weight in immediately and seriously ..
hutchies
Your right. After talking to ole Buckee I am sure it is 100% serious.
Tominator
Please don't email Scott. He's aware of the situation and has already received too many emails.
johnf
I'd rather have buckee than any of those guys on t.v. He cares about people and the forums. Come home buckee:(

Gator
Geez, why don't ya'll just let it REST??????? No disrespect to Buckee, but he has made his decision, if he doesn't wanna do it anymore, why force him? Would any of you like t be "forced" into doing something you may just be flat tired of doing. stevebeilgard
scott reads these forums. let's all honor what steve wants to do here. he'll be on here often, i'm sure. just not as a mod. everyone gets tired with their job, and needs to move on from time to time. i think some rest will do steve some good. Rhino
Please don't email Scott. He's aware of the situation and has already received too many emails. Sounds like you're already too late with this request Chris but I'll give Scott another 24 hours before he gets mine.
AdvantageTimberLou
Please don't email Scott. He's aware of the situation and has already received too many emails. Why is Buckee getting so bombarded with emails as a moderator? Why don't the rest of the moderators step in and relieve the workload? Just goes to show you how many people respect that man and go to him first. They know Buckee will get the answers and resolve the issue. No disrespect to the other moderators but why is one moderator so overloaded and others not so much??????? Can't see where the moderators get that much of a work out here. You should see the ones over at Archerytalk.com, those boys get a work out and guys that are on here that are members there too, know that. This place runs like a well oiled machine and its great, no bashing and can run itself. So why can't Buckee keep his title and just continue on? texastrophies
So why can't Buckee keep his title and just continue on? Maybe because HE resigned.
slughunter
Being a mod or not is his own choice. I just hope he sticks around to share some good stories and his knowledge of the outdoors. -shane
Shaun_300
Glad to see something REALLY major didn't happen and he was gone for good, that's what I was afraid of at first. Good to see ya still around Steve, doesn't matter if you're a mod or not, you'll always have the same respect from me and most of the others on here no matter what. Ravin R10 man
Steve set the standard for Mod's in my opionion..that kind of service is unheard of with todays fast pace, this place wont be the same without him as a Mod.

I don't blame Steve for being burned out. Even when he was fighting his cancer he worked his tail off here. This whole thing just baffles me.
