AdvantageTimberLou
Maybe because HE resigned. Thanks for explaining it to me, I am rather slow, guess that is why they made you a Moderator!! To me there is a real story behind all of this and maybe the truth will come out. Worse April Fools ever and its no joke!
dogdoc
Why is Buckee getting so bombarded with emails as a moderator? Why don't the rest of the moderators step in and relieve the workload? Just goes to show you how many people respect that man and go to him first. They know Buckee will get the answers and resolve the issue. No disrespect to the other moderators but why is one moderator so overloaded and others not so much??????? Can't see where the moderators get that much of a work out here. You should see the ones over at Archerytalk.com, those boys get a work out and guys that are on here that are members there too, know that. This place runs like a well oiled machine and its great, no bashing and can run itself. So why can't Buckee keep his title and just continue on? Chris said SCOTT not STEVE:p
AdvantageTimberLou
Chris said SCOTT not STEVE:p You misunderstood, what is the reason behind Buckee leaving? Does he get a ton of PM's each day trying to resolve issues? Is that the reason for his burn out and departure as a moderator? Its not about emailing Scott, I have no intent to do that. Its what is making Buckee step aside from his role as a moderator. The way I am seeing it there are a ton of moderators on here, why is one leaving and he happens to be the grandfather of all mods on here (Sorry about that Buckee! ) If its workload why is it not evenly distributed amongst the other moderators? Buckee could take a year long leave and he should still be a moderator upon his return because the man has earned it. He has the respect of everyone on here. The man is the official Realtree welcoming wagon and peace maker. There is a REAL reason behind this resignation but no one is saying. The_Kat
Just to let everyone know, Steve is the one who decided to step down. Nobody made him. He left the rest of us mods to fill his shoes and I for one think we will handle the task very well. Steve will still be here to help with the forums as he always has. He's just taking a break from the stress of being a mod which at times can be stressful. Let him go in peace and quit making such a stir over it Best wishes to ya steve! Lou, some mods here do a lot of things that probably do not always get noticed. Steve does or always also did a lot, and I for one hate to see him make this move. I tried to talk him into changing his mind, think there have been more members and mods to probably do the same. I assure you and everyone else here that there are still mods here who are always willing to help out members when we can. Everyone here needs to remember this was Steve's decision, as far as any story or what exactly happened to lead to this, that is for Steve to say if he choses to do so, but he kind of already did in probably the best way he could. There really is no point in pointing any fingers as it was solely Steve's decision to make this move.

Now don't you go leaving too! Can't lose two awesome guys in one day!
MCH
I find it extremely hard not to get offended by some of these replies from "respected" members. I'm disappointed to be honest. There are several moderators that can do just as good of a job at helping members as Steve did. Steve was the most active, visible moderator, that's true but to say that we're responsible for his heavy workload is crazy. Apparently, some of you would be very surprised at how much work "the other" moderators do. Geez, if I knew this was going to be a whizzing match, I would've drank more Mountain Dew's. Kevin, No disrespect is being given but it would be very nice to know the "real truth" was behind his resignation. We are all grown adults on here and we should know why one of our moderators steps down. We can handle what the true reason is but when no one wants to come on and tell the truth behind his leaving, we might assume its work overload on his part because no one wanted to come on and say why he has stepped down. We all are speculating because we care for Buckee, and if you feel disrespected because I respect this man and want to know the reason, so be it, this man means the world to a ton of people on here and we have questions and its basically why? What is the reason, the REAL reason. Because you know Kevin I know the true story now for his leaving, kinda sad it came to a deal like that. Could have probably been prevented but was not! Tim Andrus
This is a message for Steve(buckee) I dont know the reason (s) for resigning, but I want to let you know that you are a respected mod and forum member. I want you to know that I respect your wishes and hope you stay on as a active member. This past spring when I had a cancer scare , even though you had your own issues you were there for me as well as chris( tominator) was. And thankfully my surgery went well and ther was no cancer and you repeatedly checked on me . And for that Im forever gratefull!!!!! I realise that being a mod can be frustrating and the chance off making someone un happy is there. But remember this ....... your a good man and I hope you realise you were well liked here. If your wishes are to step down .. so be it . I just wanted to let you know that I consider you a good friend and Realtree brother! tim

Team Realtree
No one needs to start pointing fingers and blaming moderators for this. No one (including Steve) has posted that this was an issue between him and a moderator(s). We have good mods. Some more active than others, but if I didn't think they were doing their job, they would be gone (and some have been in the past). Members don't have some special "right" in here to know what happened or why. Me, along with other mods knew this would become a topic in here and it has. We will let the initial news, shock, or whatever, run it's course and see where we are at a later time. But don't start pointing fingers or discrediting others for doing a great job (or I will personally put an end to it). There will not be be prosecution based on speculation and hearsay on these boards. By the way, I am getting your emails, personally reading them, and responding to them all. I appreciate the feedback and comments. Thanks, S

Well said Kevin ;) I can vouch for that. And thanks everyone for the vote of confidence. I can't add to what Kevin has said, and a few others, but It takes a heck of a lot more than one moderator to keep this place family. Contrary to popular belief, I am no King of anything, other than the John, at the moment, and I do not wish to take over the forums in any way shape or form. I've been accused of it a few times..LOL...but wouldn't wish that on my worst enemy ...LOL

muggs
Man...talk about drama. Steve, you're your own man, so if this is how you feel, than I don't see the issue- especially since you're still going to be an active member. I'm sure the other mods can handle things.
