wildthing
Fellas (and ladies) I had a very promising sighting last night. I was walking over the hill to my food plots I have planted down in a valley to fertilize, when I noticed there were 5 deer on the plot grazing.:D Last year, I planted about about 3 acres in Tecomate Monster Mix. That seed is awesome! I can already see that the clovers are ready to sprout and grow here in a few weeks. I like perennial clovers because they draw game in year round and are relatively easy to maintain by fertilizing and an mowing every so often. wtnhunt
Our hamannfarms grower plots(clover and trefoil) with some chickory added to the mix, has seen a lot of activity by deer. Seems they are a great year round draw. I need to mow our grower plots now.

wildthing
Last summer...I had deer on the plots every evening. A big shooter too...but he turned into a ghost during the season. I hope he made it through to this year...he'll be real nice.
MUDRUNNER
Sounds awesome!I've been itching to start getting some seed in the ground, but it's been raining here every other day and things are a muddy mess.I believe it was our wettest March on record. wildthing
Well...I worked late last night in the office. Got home...walked over the hill to peak into the valley and counted 10 deer on the food plot! I was happy as heck! I have to get more Tecomate seed to get into the other plots. I may just keep things simple and only plant clover. I have more area to plant beans...but not the equipment to really be effective in getting a large area planted with beans. What do yall think?
