unioncountyslayer
A few of you know, that over the last year I have downsized my company considerably as I move towards owning and operating a tree and plant nursery. About a month ago I moved out of my "old" shop, as it was way to big for what I needed it for now. Anyway, I just bought a new shop about 3 miles from my home and thought I'd share a few pics. It's much smaller (sq. ft.) but I have more land (3 acres). I'm really enjoying it. For those of you that don't know, I own a Turf Maintenance company. The Deere after a bath and being serviced... Another angle... Work Bench (Gotta have a mini-fridge) Under the "Lean-To" that I built (this will be the JD's permanent home) Some extra storage with land in background... And another angle (notice "The Block" under the work bench)... Last one...

007hunter
Cool! Good luck on the nursery. What plants do you intend to grow? Who do you intend to sell to? Retail? Wholesale? Some advice, don't grow common, everyday plants; such as the ones Lowes and Walmart carry. You'll never beat their prices, although your quality may be better. Find plants that are hard to come by in your area. You can find this out by talking to landscapers in your area. You'll be a heck of a lot more successful if you can put yourself into a niche market. We are only going to be growing a select few varieties. We are mostly a re wholesaler to landscapers. So we don't have to worry about the mega-stores like Lowes, Wal-Mart, etc. Our first and most important decision was not to be retail. We will be selling in bulk. We already have a about 10 landscapers buying from us, just hoping the counties around us will lift the water ban so sales will go up. The drought has killed us!
