Re: ohhhh boy!! steelers are in trouble next week!!

Ol' Big Ben better grow out them alligator arms he had Saturday. He looked a little nervous and unsure of himself.

Should be a good game. I'll stick with my original pick way back in September or October--the Pats and Philly in the Bowl, with the Pats taking it all. That defense is tough, and defense wins games.

Just ask Manning. wink.gif

Ya I will agree the Steelers are in trouble next week. Cory Dillon is going to run them over. And for the Pitt fans, forget the Titans Remember 2001. As I recall Pitt was the huge favorite and New England had no chance. Ya well we all no how that turned out. So to everyone hoping that Pitt will win just try not to get to upset when the outcome of the game has New England on top wiping there feet on big Bens door step.

Re: ohhhh boy!! steelers are in trouble next week!!

The steelers can win the game, if they play well. They do have the advantage of playing at home. According to the sportscasters that is a huge advantage, however the at home steelers got lucky that the jets kicker missed those two field goals or they would not even be playing in the championship game.

They will have to play their best game of the season to beat this new england team. Personally I just dont think they can pull it off. The patriots are a team that plays as a team and they play their best football post season.

Will be an interesting game for sure.

This is going to be a great game. I'm pretty sure Ben will play better this week, if he doesn't they will get blown out. He needs to calm down and just take what the defense gives them instead of trying to hit a big play on every pass. For the Pats, if they try to win this game with Dillon like they did against Indy, they will lose in my opinion. Brady needs to come out throwing and I would be shocked if that was not the gameplan for the Patriots.

The Steelers owned Dillion when he was a Bengal. I do not see him as THE magic ticket against the Steelers as a Patriot.

The Steelers will be ready............and they will win this game!

[/ QUOTE ]

confused.gifconfused.gif your compairing a offensive line that sucks to an offensive line that has won the last three super bowls......uhhhh

It will be a great game, but please if the pats can shut down peyton, Im pretty shure they will be able to handle the rookie.

Re: ohhhh boy!! steelers are in trouble next week!

Just remember who had the better winning regular season record....and they are playing on their own turff....and if I remeber right I think the litty patty's stumbled a few times themselves....so I guess come time Sunday we will see who the better team is.. and as for BIG BEN, he is not typically known for loosing the ball, so I wouldn't count on that factor...

The pats did not win the last three superbowls It was 2 of the last 3. Still a great team but lets not get ahead of ourselves grin.gif That said......the Steelers will be able to stop Dillon. And I am sure that Ben will be able to handle the pats. New England is going down! grin.gif

Re: ohhhh boy!! steelers are in trouble next week!

New England will win. Enough said...

I called the Pats/Colts game and even said why last time. It happen exactly the way I predicted and the for all the reason I listed as well.

Big Ben got a taste of playoffs and was caught unaware for sure. I can assume he will not be as dumbfounded as he was against the Jets. However, he still has not faced the Pats intensity while playing for all the cookies. Yes they were able to beat them in regular season. But the playoffs and the championship is a whole nother level. One Ben is still not up to speed with IMO.

I am looking forward to a nail biter this Sunday but I still feel the over all QB experience will prevail for the Pats.

As for Dillon, he will sting the Steelers too. They have yet to play against him and do not know how to shut him down yet. Maybe by the 2nd half they will start to learn how but by then it will be to late. They will worry about the running game too much by then and Brady will sting them with some long passing.

Re: ohhhh boy!! steelers are in trouble next week!

Shawn, the Steelers know all about Dillon as they've played him twice a year since he's been in the league, and they own him.

I expect a hard fought game, but when push comes to shove the defense and running game will win the game and that puts the Steelers on top.

I can't wait to see this game.

Re: ohhhh boy!! steelers are in trouble next week!

They think they know Dillon. They do not...

He is far better then when he played on those other looser teams.. And you my friend know that or you would not of smack talked against it. LOL

I think someone needs to tell the Bus to use some stick-um this game too...

I actaully get a chance to watch this game and I am looking forward to it. Just think we were doing the same thing 4 years ago. man I wonder who was the victo then////

Can you say Patriots?

Comeon I know you want to.

Especially VermontHunter...

Re: ohhhh boy!! steelers are in trouble next week!

It doesnt matter who knows Dillon or not.....bottom line is the Steelers are first against the run in the NFL for a reason. If Dillon's o-line blocks the way they did in the first matchup it wont matter if you have Barry Sanders and Walter Payton in the backfield. If the Pats try to win this game on the ground they will lose.

Re: ohhhh boy!! steelers are in trouble next week!

Past is past, if they don't perform that way on Sunday, they'll be headed home to watch the Superbowl like the rest of us.

None of the past games mean a thing on Sunday. Both teams might as well be playing the first game of the season. Both coaches will throw a lot of new looks out there for the teams to try and combat against. Thw winner will be the team that figures out how to run effectively and stop the run.

I'll tell you one thing that I know for a fact........both defenses will be worn out by the end of the game.

This is the very 1st reasonable thing I have heard from a Steelers fan EVER!

My hat is off to you for analizing the game, not smack talking it.

I have to agree. The running game will be 60% IMO and if it can not be control by one team or the other. Thats where it will be decided. Although both QB's like the long ball too.

I can't wait to watch it! cool.gif
