[ QUOTE ]

This is the very 1st reasonable thing I have heard from a Steelers fan EVER!

My hat is off to you for analizing the game, not smack talking it.

[/ QUOTE ]

Don't worrry. THe Steelers will Stuff the pats this weekend. Dillion will be a non factor, gaining only 40 yards..........if that. NO ONE runs against the Steelers. And we have had backs WAY BETTER than Dillion try this year. To date..........only one has had a 100 yard game, and that was the game we lost The only game we lost the entire season. Before Rothlisburger took over for the year.

The Patriots have only faced a defense this good one other time this year..............on Halloween day.. And they lost! Just like they will lose to the same team this Sunday.

The Pats will not be able to run against the Steelers. The Pats will not be able to pass against the Steelers. The PAts will not be able to stop the awesome Pittsburgh running attack.......one that is worlds above what Dillion offers wink.gif And Big Ben will have pick teh pats secondary apart....just like HAlloween day.

Prediction. Steelers 24 Patriots 3 grin.gif

Re: ohhhh boy!! steelers are in trouble next week!

Thats what I love about the confidence the Steelers fans have. Because the won against the Pats, ONCE, they think its a done deal.

Ha Ha Ha I say....

I tell ya. Belichick is a defensive master mind.

His Playoff game record, to include other teams he coached with, is something like 14 and 3.

Look what we did to the Colts last week! #1 offense in the league got 3 points.

Besides even your own fans know that everybody has a bad game or 2.

Remember the Jets this year?

If it was Vinateiri out there, you guys would not be even in this game Sunday.

You barely got passed the Jets and we Killed the Colts.

Nevertheless, Belichick will devise a defense the Steelers have not yet seen, and you can bet the brunt of that WILL focus on stopping "the bus". Not to mention your rookie QB WILL be dazzled.

As for Dillon. They have yet to face him this year and he is real hot right now. As is Faulk.

Dillon is not as stoppable as you may think. I agree he is not as powerful as "the bus" but he is a whole lot quicker. And seems to not fumble as much.. LOL

But in the end Vinateiri will win this game for the Pats. We dont have to drive 80 yards each time to win this. 40 to 50 yards will do, then "ITS GOOD" will ring threw the stadium time and time again....

I expect the Steeler fans to be somewhat quiet on Sunday...

Thats my prediction.

[ QUOTE ]

"If we play like we did against the Colts, we’ll get killed," said Belichick. "It’ll be a lot worse than (Oct. 31). The things we did against the Colts, if we tried to do that against the Steelers, it’d be 55-0. It might be worse than that, if they don’t kneel on the ball like that did the last time."

Re: ohhhh boy!! steelers are in trouble next week!

Vtbowman, you can stop with all the Bettis fumbles a lot talk. If you look at history very few RB's fumble LESS then Bettis. The one he had against the Jets was when he tried to "Skinny" himself sideways and had the ball over his shoulder height. I'll grant you that was a dumb move but he really doesn't fumble much at all. In fact, I'ld bet it would be next season or the season after before that happens again.

As for the "It's Good"........Don't rule out Jeff Reed in this game. NO kicker has made a FG over 50 yards in Heinz Field, and no Kicker has the feel for the winds in that stadium like Jeff Reed has......I think that's where Home Field Advantage will pay off.

Like I said before, this will be a run and stop the run kind of game. With that in mind, you have to like the Steelers in this one. Pats have a great runner in Dillon, but the Steelers have a 1,2,3,4,5 punch with Bettis, Staley, Kreider, Haynes, and Parker. The first 3 are definately power runners, but Haynes and parker can come in as change of pace backs and leave the defense flatfooted because there's no way of telling where they're going to bounce to.

Defenses for both sides are going to earn their pay tomorrow.

Re: ohhhh boy!! steelers are in trouble next week!

Lifey-

I never once said they needed to play the Steeler like they did the Colts. What I implied is that Belichick can and will shut down any offense when other could not.. Even the #1 offense which was the point.

Also its funny the only thing vtbowhunter took away from my rant was the fumble. A mere few lines out of many.

But he did mention The Pats kicker and I have little doubt Vinni will bring it home when it counts. Wind or no wind. What, you dont think he practices that?

I must conceed one thing.

Good bit of research on the fumbles too my VT brother. Ya got me smack talkin without facts to back that one up.. LOL

I do that sometimes..

Re: ohhhh boy!! steelers are in trouble next week!

I just read a quote from Belichick (sp?), he said that if the Patriots defense plays the way they did against the Colts his team will get killed by Pittsburg.

Was he watching that game? I thought his defense in that game was what made the Patriots the favorite in this one. Maybe he's not that confident in his own team today, or maybe he's just trying to psych his team up.

Something to think about.

Re: ohhhh boy!! steelers are in trouble next week!

I heard the interview on the radio.

I do remember that quote.

But whats missing from it is the question.

He was asked if he intended to play the Steelers likke he did the Colts.

Of coarse he will not do that. The 2 teams play differently.

Colts rely on their QB way to much and the defence was designed for that type of team.

I can bet the defensive playbook looks a ton different for the Steelers running game based offense.
