Went out to a spot I picked out that I havent tried yet. Turned out to be the right choice. We pulled up and I had one of those feelings that it was a good choice. We walked down into a creek bottom and called a little bit with no responce. So, we decided to head up the other side. We got up near the top and I saw a red head pop up and we immediatly dropped to the ground. I took one more peek and saw a couple more. We back up behind some trees and I set up the deke. First call and we hear a roar from at least three birds. Called a couple more times and didnt get anything. We stayed patient and after about 10 minutes here they come 1,2,3... and it ended up being about 10 Jakes. They all got to within 20 yards and I started the count 1,2, 3 BOOM!! Looked up and there were three birds on the ground. I shot one and my got got two with one shot. On top of that those were his first turkeys. To say the least we were a little bit excited.
