Bowtech_archer07
Well, over the winter, I found out that my gun had lost zero at some point during deer season. I missed 5 deer, so I took it out and shot it, and found it had lost zero. So last weekend, dad and I took it over to a gunsmith, he put a new scope on it, and we took it out today.. 1st shot was about 4 inches low, and 2 inches left.. 2nd shot was about 2 inches right and about 1 inch high, second show was 1 inch right, 1 inch high. I was happy to say the least:D:D. I didn't jerk the trigger once which has always been a problem for me. I was grinning from ear to ear. When we were done sighting it in.. I put my field barrel on and shot a turkey load just to see how it would pattern and it patterned great!! I am ready for turkey season now!!!!! LifeNRA
sounds like a good start. now, fire another hundred rounds, and you're ready for deer season. Really should fire a three shot group. Then move your scope. Get it sighted in at 100 yards too.
aksheephuntress
...I how you feel about the flinch problem, Bowtech....it took me years to get over that after getting scoped real hard a few times, with blood running down my forehead.......glad to hear about all of your progress, and sighting in....and yes, Steve B is right....just go out and shoot as many rounds as you can;-I know you will have fun, and feel as one with your gun.... -thanks for posting about this...a lot of people wouldn't have the guts to post anything about their sighting-in trials..... Bowtech_archer07
Really should fire a three shot group. Then move your scope. Get it sighted in at 100 yards too. The slugs that I am shooting are supposed to be accurate at 100 if you are sighted in at 25. I will shoot it more. Right now it's set up for turkey, but after that, I will shoot it more and check it at 100 yards.
