BowJoe
No, I'm not mad and Buckee didn't do anything wrong or offend me in any way. ROFL Actually, I'm going to a Truck driving school in Indianapolis, IN. I'll be there for 3 weeks and then I'll be on the road for at least another week after that. I don't know if I'll have time to log on for even a little bit in this time. The school is 3 1/2 hours from home and I was expecting to go to the school in St. Louis which would have been a lot closer. I'm trying to work out whether or not I can make it home for at least one weekend so my wife, who's 7 months pregnant, can have a little stress off of her. I'm going to miss my little Emi Jane so much it's about to break my heart. She's learned to wave bye bye and will stand at the door until I leave. Reminds me of my male beagle I had named Bow. He'd see me off to work every single night and sit there until he saw my headlights go too. Not that my daughter's a dog but just sorta reminds me of him. I'll be hiring on with USA Transport outta Arkansas. I'm doing this all just for the experience and money so I can get a local or dedicated run with another company like Hogan or some of the even more local companies like Nurenburgs out of Nashville, IL. For a run to California and back once a week, they pay $1400 a week after taxes plus you're home every weekend guaranteed. If you have to run anything extra, they pay an extra $200 a day over your mileage. Not bad at all. This industry is wide open and from what I've seen and heard, as long as you have a good CDL, you can get a job somewhere at any time. Wish me luck folks and I hope this thing works out. Lord knows I can't afford any more delays in job hunting.

Guest outdoorgirl
Good Luck.....The main thing is you'll have your CDL if that company doesn't workout. It's what you make of it and with a growing family it's going to be stressful. I know first hand thats what we do for a living.
