Space saver bags to store hunting clothes?

Recommended Posts

This may need to be moved, but I figure it pertains to scent control and storage.

Has anyone used these space saver bags to store their hunting clothes? I have seen em a few times in the store, but I finally bought one today. It's the one where you put it in the bag, use the vacuum to take the air out and compress it down, and it has a strage tote bag to put it it, supposed to be able to hold a decent amount. I'm going to try it tomorrow so I'll let ya know how it works

Ok, I couldn't wait :D I went downstairs and took everything out of my old giant ziplock bags and put em in the space saver, here are some pics, I forgot to take some "before" pics sorry :o

In here I have a scentblocker jacket, scentblocker pants, scentblocker hat, blaze orange hat, 2 pairs of winter hunting gloves, a pair of early season hunting gloves, insulated bibs, insulated coat, a pair of rocky boots, my early season shoes, hand muff, camo t-shirt, 2 face masks (think thats about it)...with a bunch of room to spare, which is good because I need to get some mroe early season stuff before october):D:D

I tried space saver bags for the first time this year on all my carbon items. I just sprayed the outsides of them down with a little fresh earth let them dry and put them in. Sure takes up alot less room now.

I've been using the space saver bags for some time now. I picked up some scented dryer sheets from Walmart, stuck a couple in the bag. The first time, there was a slight plastic smell, but after the second run, smell went away. None the less, I still aired then out for a few days. But you can't beat taking up less space
