Guest Dallas
Ok guys heres what Ive got. My hunting property consistes of 160 acres woods and 25 acres of grass. My property is surrounded by 6000 acres of conservation land that has soy beans and corn in the bottom fields. The conservation land is hunted very hard. I have about a 10 to1 doe buck ratio. Ive killed good bucks in past years but have not taken a buck in awhile. Last year I saw the buck of a lifetime and I need help to harvest him, any help from u guys would be appreciated. wtnhunt
Sounds like some doe management in the area is needed. With all the ag crops, you need a fall/winter draw on your property. Might consider a plot of winter rye grain along with some winter wheat and oats.

I'd do 60 pounds of Nutrigreen oats and 60 pounds of winter peas per acre if you want to have a hunting plot that will draw every deer off that conservation land once the beans and corn are scalped. That might seem heavy to some but you will have the thickest, most palatable and attractive plot you can find. You can mix in some brassicas as well - 4 pounds per acre should be plenty but make sure to plant them on top.
