Guest SRAII
Saturday night me and the kids were waiting in the vehicle while my wife was in a store. There was a lightpost in the parking lot that 2 birds were frequenting. There was a little hole they could get into (i guess their nest). I was like "Look kids...those birds are really close!" the kids were oohing and awwing over the birds when suddenly, the one jumped on top of the other......my oldest daughter (7) Erin was like...."Dad, what are they doing that for? Do they not like each other?" kids.....i tell ya.....

wtnhunt
LOL. The answer Chris gave is the one I have used in the past with similar situations. Kind of on the same topic(kids and questions), my 6 year old asked not too long back while we were feeding the cows, "daddy, what's that stuff hanging down in front of the bulls tail?"
Jeramie
Kids my foot..... My wife (when she was about 17) saw three ducks, two drakes and a hen, reproducing. She wasnt aware they bite the hen's neck so she started yelling, "Theyre killing it! Theyre killing it!" Yep, that was well over 12 years ago and she still doesnt live that one down. aksheephuntress
....Oh, yes...that is funny!-and one of those situations you have to explain, when you least expect it- -I remember when we lived up north, and one of our sled dogs got loose in the dog lot...and, well- the boys came running in the cabin frantic, wondering how Pulaski and Retard got tied up...-er, back-to-back...(the one dog named "Retard", was short for "fire retardant":o).-I had a full 15 or 20 minutes of explaining to do...

I'm guessing Scott explained to her that the boy bird was showing the girl bird who was in charge........ Not that I would ever agree with that, but this is Scott we're talking about.....
