What a weekend...........headbang.gif

Day 1- Started out well. Figured i would have a case of Tournament nerves but I was solid as a rock. First 6 targets I was 6 up and was shooting well. We made the turn after the first ten targets and all was well starting into the next 10. Look up ahead and groups are just backed up. They were letting the groups free pull and there was a youth group that had gotten 4 targets behind their nearest team in front of them. It started becoming 20 to 30 minutes between shots and that was when I started dropping some points..............Shot a 190 the first day so I was 10 down.

Day 2- Shot at 8 am. It was cold, humid, and windy. Seemed like I just couldn't get into the groove. By the time I found it we had 3 targets left to go and I was 4 down. Turned in and there was my gimme 14 target. A javelina at dead on 20 yard. Got my 14 came back to even and on the next target shot an 8.........banghead.gif Last target I almost went for the 14 but I decided to play it safe and shoot the 12 cause i would drop alot of points if I didn't hit it. Missed the 12 by 1/4 inch and ended up 2 down on the day.........

Shot a 388 on 2 days and finished 35th in hunter class out of at least 120 people. All in all I had an awesome time and I am already making plansfor next year.

Congrats to Lyle Plum for taking 1st in Hunter Class with a 428 with 16X's.............Good to see them Okies go down to TX and do so well.headbang.gif Also a big congrats to Dan Chaffin(AKA Daniel Boone) for taking 7th in Senior class. Alot of other okies did very well.

Pictures...........I didn't take any but some of the guys on AT did. Here are some links.

You guys need to........Pretty good showing.......around 1200 shooters showed up. The city of Paris and the ASA signed a 10 year contract to keep the shoot in Paris.......

Forgot to mention that Annette Pettigrew made the shootoff in womens pro and finished 3rd. Luke Pettigrew blew a shot on the last target and ended up 5th instead of 1st.

Also, a local Broken Bow, Oklahoma gal, Cindy Maness finished 3rd in Women's Hunter. Just 4 back from the leader I think.

Yep I saw Cindy on the Stage. Was wondering if Stacey was shooting this weekend. Big congrats to both of them. I saw Dave over on E course when I was shooting hunter. I think he finished 32nd in hunter.

Dave had a bad outing. He had changed his pins prior to coming over and never quite got used to them.

Hopefully I'll be with them next year. I plan on putting a new string on before hunting season, so I should be good to go. Sure did hurt hearing their stories and not being able to go. Had a blast last year even though I stunk the course up on the second day. Wish I could've gave it another run.
