MORE Burning

Recommended Posts

Well I had one more spot to burn....and after last weekends nitemare...I elected to get more help this weekend:rolleyes::D

Especially since I was burning a much bigger area and we were burning off a field full of Big Blue steam......SO I knew the fire would be hot and crazy. By crazy I mean 15 to 20 ft tall flames....

Well we burned around the field just like planned then started the fire on one end....let the wind blow it across and all worked just as planned.

Here are some pics..

What kind of grass is that Toddy?

I'm thinking of putting in prarie grass on our new property so I don't end up maintaining and mowing 2 acres all the time.

I am not 100% sure what all is in it.

It is a CRP field and several years ago we HAD to plant some native grasses. I do know there is a lot of Blue stem in it. By fall time that field will be 5 to 6+ feet tall. Wildlife seem to love it.;)
