unioncountyslayer
"My guys will hit free throws when they need to." I love it when cocky people get what's coming to them. Sorry Coach Cal, but missed free throws cost ya the game.
Guest Finn
That was a great game....Congrats to Kansas. Mario Charlmers' 3 was awesome. yep, gotta make your free throws
Guest Turtle
Was a great game, but did understand not calling the Technical on Chris Douglas-Michael for slamming ball to floor. Ref thought he did it because........ don't matter why, he did it, it should of been a T don't get into interpreting players thoughts. Glad Rose's non 3 point was reviewed but not sure it should have been. That was not the only bad call whose to say what should be reviewable and what's not. AdvantageTimberLou
Stupid me.....I went to bed when Memphis was up by 9 with a little over 2 minutes left in the game. I said its all over and 4AM comes awfully early! WOW!! What a shocker!! I was pulling for Kansas too and I thought being up by 9 Memphis had the game in control. Just control the shot clock is all you have to do. Guess that serves me right for going to bed early! LOL!!
craig mack
What a choke job by Memphis!!! Their two top players cant make a free throw when it counts, and I bet they both think they're ready for the NBA!!! Congrats to Kansas, they deserved it. buckbuster11
Now that was a great basketball game. Sure made up for the rest of the tournament. Forget all the talk about Memphis guards....how about Chalmers? Man can he ball. That guy has some of the quickest hands I have ever seen......and what a shot to tie it at the end of regulation. Wow. I thought Kansas starting fouling way to early in that game. I've got to give a lot of credit to Bill Self on this one. Kansas starting fouling with over 2 minutes to go and Memphis was sinking all the free throws. When Kansas cut it to 4 I think with well over a minute to go they still fouled as soon as a Memphis player touched the ball. I was screaming at the TV, but as it turns out they started clanking the free throws and that's how Kansas got that game into OT. I'm not sure I would have stuck with the fouling strategy as long as Self did. They took a lot of guts to keep doing that even as Memphis was knocking down all their free throws early on. cinch314
Memphis as a team on shot 59% ft on the season. I think it was smart on Self's part to wait it out because Memphis couldnt hang with their FT. If they wouldve hit there FT then they wouldve won. Geeeeeeee no wonder MOST all of coaches stress practicing FT's daily.

I thought a Technical should have been called too........THe way the tv crew was talking is since he was "mad" at himself it was ok for him to slam the ball......Thats bull IMO As for the reviewed play....I think the refs got it right....He was infront of the 3 point line then faded back into 3 point land....So it should have been a 2. But it was a heck of a bank shot regardless. They took a lot of guts to keep doing that even as Memphis was knocking down all their free throws early on. But when the pressure started to build Memphis couldn't buy a FT.

And Memphis was shooting FT's very well during the tournament. They were a better FT shooting team then/than Kansas coming into that game actually. I agreed they got it right in the review just don't think I like the use of reviews too many other bad calls that never get reviewed. Guest Turtle
Once Dorsey fouled out with 2:12 left it was a totally different game. Kansas got rebounds , inside shots, even the lob. Memphis without Dorsey was like Davidson with Curry out of gas. You've got to have your stars there at the end rested and ready to play.
