HOYTnMUZZYboy
I have a question..... I found a matching set of sheds today about 25 yds apart.... There from a big 150- 160 class 11pt. I had close encounters with him this year but couldn't either get him in bow range or couldn't get him to step in my shooting lane to make the perfect shot. This rack is to nice to let sit on a table. Does anyone have any ideas how i can mount these on one of those plaqe mounts? Any help would be greatly appreciated!! Thanks!!! ccwhitey
I have a friend who was going to mount some sheds that he found. He took it to a taxidermist and he was telling me that they put some type of brackets on it to hold it to the form. Good luck mounting them and congrats on the finds.:) Pics would be nice also:D:D:D

toddyboman
I have a set I mounted.....Here is what I did... 1. I took a block of wood and cut to shape. 2. I drilled small holes into the bottom of the antler bases. 3. I drilled small holes into the piece of wood. 4. Then screwed some screws into the wood and slightly into the bottom of the horns.Just enough to hold them. 5. Then I attached the wood to my plaque wrapped it in camo. This is the finished work.... The Kid
You could use screws or you could also use dowls and glue them too, just a thought

Zambo
I mounted a pair of sheds a couple of years ago and although they look great, there are times that I wish I would of left them as sheds. Maybe next year you will shoot this buck and then your sheds will compliment your trophy. I like a big pair of sheds more than a big rack. This is just my choice, everyone has different views. Congratulations on your finds, and enjoy your antlers the way you want to.

I would somewhat agree to this......in my case...the set I mounted I found several years old so this buck is probably no long alive. So just this winter I elected to mount them......Since I'm never going to see/get the buck
