BowJoe
Hey all Just wanted to let everyone know that I am doing fine in the Hoosier state. I took my first test on Tuesday and passed all four on the first try. I don't know who all has ever taken the Indiana operators licens test, General knowledge CDL test, Air Brake test and Combination test but it ain't easy. It's not rocket science but only 4 of us passed it all on the first day out of 32 students. I hate to sound like i'm bragging but I am very happy that I did this. Now I have my Indiana drivers license and my CDL permit. All I have left if my pretrip inspection test and my driving skills test. All of this is the physical part of the test. The pre trip inspection is by far the hardest part of the whole thing. You have over 300 items to check and most are on the outside of the truck. There are tricks to break it all down but man is it a doozy. All is going well but I do miss my daughter. She carries my picture around now and says Daddy and kisses it. I miss her the most. Talk to you all later and I'll try to keep folks posted on what's happening. I may even graduate a week and a half early if I apply myself. Bye for now. aksheephuntress
...Bowjoe....That is excellent!!-yes, I have taken the IN operators, class B CDL, and airbrakes...(in the early '90's)...TWICE....because I didn't pass it the 1st time!....That test, I always thought, was tricky!!.....All these questions on how many hundreds of yards to place each flare in different hypothetical situations; then how much different insurance rates cost in various situations, and if you've had a violation...and axle weight limits, and so on.....if it makes you feel any better, I aced the pre-trip, because it wasn't anything they made it out to be before hand...it's going to go just fine, for you! -I think that's awesome , Bowjoe.....Congradulations!....and, your little girl will be so happy to have you back home...it will happen before you know it!
