Bowtech_archer07
Well, never used them in a Muzzloader, but if it's the same company that produces Lightfield shotgun slugs...The slugs will pack a punch out to 125 yards.. A gunsmith that recently did some work for me was telling me he shot a deer at 125 yards.... deer dropped in his tracks. He also said since they started shooting them, they've never had to trail a deer over 10 yards. Hope this helps and welcome to the forums.. bighoytman
light field bullets well there called the alpha 300. there and olive style bullet with a hollow point.I shoot them yesterday started out with 90 grains of 777. I tried different loads and primers, the best load was 110 grains 777 300 grain light field bullet and 777 clean burn primer.2 inch groups at 175 yards from a rest. I tried several different powders along with about 5 different kinds of primers. We recovered several bullets if they open up like that on deer I don't see alot of tracking in my future. Sounds like a combination that works well for you. I would be pretty happy with 2 inch groups at 175 with my ml.

The gunsmith that I bought them from said he shot the slugs into a pile of loose sand and it opened to the size of a half dollar He saved it and showed it to me. Congrats on the groups BTW. Sounds like you got a combination that's going to work for you!!
Guest gt2003
You may consider a precision rifle dead center bullet in the same weight. Excellent accuracy and unparalelled expansion. Try their website, either www.prbullet.com . If you've got questions, call Cecil and he will take care of you. I tried numerous bullets before I found the precision rifle bullets. I'll shoot nothing else now. Good luck!
