It makes me very sad to think that growing up in today's world, a kid, just a kid, has to worry about getting stabbed or shot or beat up. When I was growing up, a fight was a fight BUT it was a fair fight, one on one. Nowadays its nothing like that anymore. Personally, I thank my parents for the way they raised me. Like standing up for myself, teaching me right from wrong. Busting my rear if I needed it. Helping out the smaller or weaker person. Loving God. I applaud my parents for their lessons. WHen I see something like this on the news or whatnot, it just makes me wonder about the parenting of these kids nowadays. Growing up, we didnt have hardly anything happening that you see kids doing nowadays. Maybe that was because parents were allowed to punish their children without fear of being called a child abuser or a bad parent. God was still in the schools and in the government. It just saddens me to think that we as a society have come this far down. Sorry Im off my soapbox now, just jotting down what I felt. Sure some of you willnot agree with me but hey that's life and Im not going to beat you up over it or shoot you or stab you, I was raised better.
