DU_man_84
got myself a membership to the gym and made my first trip today, worked calves, shoulders, back and abs today, its gonna burn tomorrow who else hits the gym or just does routine work outs at home, i normally just work out at home, but the gym really broadens my choice of more workout routines
Guest coydog316
I do a bodyweight routine that absolutely kicks your butt! The isolation exercises you get from machines and free weights always did well for me though, I just wanted something more intense. Some of the guys who started to work out with me quickly found excuses on why they didn't come back! If you are really looking for a burn, my opinion, use your BODYWEIGHT! Let me tell ya...my knees were screaming at first.....but yesterday I didn't feel the pain. Heart rate is a lot higher when you run and you burn more calories.....I'm startin to like it. Bowtech_archer07
I work out when i'm at school in the fitness center at my dorm. When i'm home on breaks I have a friend who has a mini-gym set up in his basement. Me and a buddy go over there and work out.. i.e. lifting weights. Shaun_300
I might get a membership to a gym when I move out to Saskatchewan. I'm a mechanic for a living, which definetly works you out. But I wouldn't mind pumping some iron at a gym in the evenings.

rhine16
Havent touched a weight since i hung up my spikes last summer and do not plan to. I HATE lifting weights. I was always the guy that worked his butt off and couldnt get a bit stronger. I still do a little running, but most of my workout comes from intermural softball. Jeramie
You think you hurt today! Wait until Saturday. It will be horrible... wtnhunt
Do not belong to a gym, but have been trying to get in a little better shape. Really would like to drop about 15-20 lbs over the summer and get in better condition. Been jogging and doing sets of push ups the past few weeks. MUDRUNNER
Sweet!I joined a gym a few years ago,but with two little ones and working around 50hrs./week it's tough to find time to go.Two years ago I bought some free weights and a home gym and just work out in the basement.I do 45 minutes 5 days a week, but quit from October through January. My daughter had me some 1lb. dumbells ao she could "work out" with me.:DI didn't even no they made 1lb dumbells.:DI would like to get a treadmill and do some more cardio, but the funds aren't there yet. muggs
I hit the gym pretty regularly and jog too. Still have a ways to go before I'm in the shape I want to be in, but I've seen some nice results so far. Just curious, what made you decide to workout your calves, shoulders, back and abs? Seems like a unique pairing of muscle groups. I try to do one large group and one smaller group on the same day. Day 1- Chest and triceps Day 2- Back and biceps Day 3- Shoulders and abs If you want, you can add some leg excercises across the three days. Right now I'm not doing legs because I can't afford to tire them out since I also run.

I have an add in the classifieds! ...that stuff is amazing...I might pm you about that, Swampy...-great price! -I've been trying to run/hike up this one mountain trail nearby(kept broken by the snowmachiners....and -I use the chainsaw(awesome, and annoying exercise...)-and split wood... -deep knee bends-plus those on the tippy-toes -chin-ups.. -and, there is this awesome video program out called px-2 , or something like that-the most concentrated, intense ab/upperbody/aerobic workout....with no machines! ....way to go, everyone!
