rhine16
I'm in the middle of a decent turkey season, the bass are starting to hit good and I've got two good ponds, the grass is green, the air is warming up, baseball is in full swing, and all i can think about is....................... Watching a sunrise perched 15 ft up in a tree with my bow hanging beside me, the sound of acorns dropping, squirrells running around in the trees, yellow leaves, and the smell of white oaks. Anyone else have this problem??? Will October ever get here????

Guest nywhitetail9339
i am counting the days till i can get back in the woods and see some deer with my bow in hand. but for now i will settle with puting in food plots and setting up stands. fun also
BearClaw
Same problem here. But I spend a lot of time shooting my bow, buying new gear (small stuff) and just tinkering with my hunting gear, fine tuning, planning, etc. I just make a hobby out of it all year. I love flyfishing so that takes a lot of time too. Just being outdoors is great all year!
Tominator
Yes, eye halve that problem two. Eye guess its bee cause eye had such a great season this passed year.
craig mack
I hear ya, nothing like bowhunting!!!
fly
You aint lieing. I've got a spring bear hunt planned (rifle, then bow) that's helping ease the pain. However, nothing beats hearing the sound of dried leaves rustling on the ground as a deer approaches. Waiting for the perfect angle, then coming to full draw.... jaret
Same here. All I can really do at this point is do some bass fishing, and some turkey hunting, and watch some hunting videos and the outdoor channel.
wildthing
yes...I have preoccupied my time with food plots and scouting!
Guest Andrea
Nah, not a problem here. I am too consumed with fishing. Hard to think about deer when you're too busy swattin skeeters, getting a tan and reeling in big ol bass. I loooooooooove summertime.:cool:
ShaneB
i also cant wait until september (Bow season starts) to see if all the scouting and preperation i do pays off
Michiganbowhunter_SQ2
I've got the itch to. Turkey season is coming up and I WAS pumped for it. I get into different moods though, it's weird. One day I'll be ready for bow season to get here, watching the videos, shooting my bow, etc. Then I'll see a rifle of muzzleloader hunt and start thinking about gun season and our trip to the U.P. that'll last for a bit. Same goes for turkey season. I'll watch a hunt on the outdoor channel or a roadtrips video or something, and I'll be excited for turkey season. But it seems no matter what, right before any season opens I'm pumped for it.

buckbuster11
I was actually in the woods today climbing trees with my climber, checking out some different spots to see what they looked like from the air. With that said, turkey season here starts in a week. It only comes once a year so my mind is on turkeys 100%.
Strut10
No problem here. I'm the guy sitting 20 feet up a tree in October thinking "will spring gobbler season ever get here?"
Washi
I'm doing pretty good keeping myself occupied fishing and turkey hunting but after turkey season is over deer will be the main thing on my mind.
