redryder
What are the pros and cons of having turkeys on your land?
wtnhunt
Have heard from a hunter on a neighboring property that the turkeys have destroyed plots of lespedeza that they have planted specifically for deer. Turkeys hammer our trefoil in our clover/trefoil plots over the summer here, I would imagine it could be damaging to the plots during a drought. Aside from having them to hunt, not sure there are any benefits really.
dogdoc
the only negative is they will eat your seeds after plantings. I love having turkeys though cuz I LOVE shooting longbeards. Just plant enough for them also.
