The Kid Posted April 12, 2008 Report Share Posted April 12, 2008 ya your best option is to use the owl call,, go out on a ridge where you think they might be maybe 150 to 200 yards away,, about sunset and hit your owl call "Who cooks for you, Who cooks for you all" and they should respond,, You can also hit the call in the morning right before the sun comes up too. Bowtech_archer07 Posted April 12, 2008 Report Share Posted April 12, 2008 Like The_Kid said, use your owl call in the evening, or sometimes the birds will answer to a crow call. Heck a bird will shock gobble at most anything, a truck door slamming, the snap of a stick, but i would try the owl call and the crow call, alternating and hit each one 2 or 3 times. And remember that birds don't always gobble in the evening. Sometimes they are quiet and you aren't able to roost them. Good luck on your first bird!!!
