jason_thacker
ive been looking to get into some competition archery and i was wondering what was the purpose for the really long stabilizers that a lot of guys shoot
Tony
they help balance the bow and allow you to hold steadier. but on a windy day they are a pain because they actually prevent you from holding steady. i actually prefer a 27 inch model than my 32 incher for indoor. if oyur just using your hunting setup, then shoot the same stabilizer you hunt with. once you really get into 3D them you might want to go to a longer one, but it will put you in a differant class sometimes.
