Guest ronin
This is my first post in this section. I going to work on a bear hide I took two years ago. It's been in the freezer, rolled and double bagged so I think it should be in great shape. I've tanned, elk, deer, yote and bobcat, but never a bear. Any tips would be greatly appreciated! Guest ronin
Re: bear hide tanning Yeah, I can use New Method in SF but they are slow and expensive. I would consdier and alternative if I new of a good one. I've managed the fur bearers pretty well and I was thinking about having a go at it myself. I'm familiar with the de-greasing step..never had to do it but I was aware. I like the Rittel products, maybe I'll try that. How 'bout ivroy soap?
