fly
I just found out that postage stamps go up to 42 cents on May 12th. I was going to buy a few books of stamps and the post office worker advised me that I may want to wait until then.
wtnhunt
Last stamps I bought were the anytime stamps, have not used any of them yet. Really don't send too much through snail mail these days.
gone_postal
That clerk was wrong and should have sold you the "FOREVER" books. I'm a postal clerk and the Post Office always has them available for purchase. The postage on them is good for ANY price increase in the future, so as not to worry about adding the extra penny or two to your old stamps. We have been pushing them pretty hard now with the new rate increase coming up soon. Go back there and request those books and you're good to go. BTW, just my feeling, but I think postage will be going up every year now, instead of the usual every 2 yr. adjustment.
