Postage stamp increase

That clerk was wrong and should have sold you the "FOREVER" books.

I'm a postal clerk and the Post Office always has them available for purchase.

The postage on them is good for ANY price increase in the future, so as not to worry about adding the extra penny or two to your old stamps. We have been pushing them pretty hard now with the new rate increase coming up soon.

Go back there and request those books and you're good to go.

BTW, just my feeling, but I think postage will be going up every year now, instead of the usual every 2 yr. adjustment.

...Yes, this true....the "forever" stamps...

-sometimes we didn't always have them in stock....depended upon when the postmaster got around to ordering....

-up until I resigned last year,I was a postal clerk....I had to go through all that rate change training for the postal increase....(well, there were LOTS of other changes, as you know)...

-But, yes...ask for the forever stamp booklets, if they have them...Now: if you were wanting to buy the ROLLS of stamps....there ARE NO forever stamps in rolls(never have been)...that may have been your situation....?
