Alisha
Just curious how much everyone is paying per gallon/liter? When I went to work this morning the cheap stuff was $3.49 and this evening when I was on my way home I noticed it had jumped up to $3.65!!! At this rate, it'll be $4.00 a gallon well before summer! My fiance lives in Nova Scotia and it's $1.20 a liter there.... so around $4.80 a gallon for them. I know it doesn't do any good to complain about it, and also realize that it's going to get worse before it gets any better. :( *sigh*

Alisha
Sorry for the repost , but I was shocked at the big jump today and was curious if it went up that much for other people too. I don't even know why the jump in the price of gas even surprises me anymore.

ruttinbuc
"They" are saying that the supply was not as large as "they" thought it was. I am a little confused about what "they" are talking about. The supply of fuel or the supply of profit money!
Michiganbowhunter_SQ2
$3.53 around here the last week or so Had to go pull our stands yesterday because the guy sold the land. Decided to wait to put gas in until we got to the town we hunt by, paid a whopping $3.39 there.

beagleboy
$3.49 here this morning. Simple supply and demand. With the value of our dollar weakening, expect to see prices keep rising.
Ravin R10 man
when you dont want to drill in Alaska, not build any refinerys in the last 30 years, and cut gas milage by adding emission control on engines, and use more fuel than is produced..this is what happens. $3.39 here on Wed., I didnt even pay attention to it today, just something I dont normally watch. wtnhunt
Last fillup here, paid $3.19 a gallon earlier this week, but noticed the sign on the other side of the building had $3.27, they were raising the price I guess as I was filling up. Heard on the radio this morning the average in this area is now up to $3.44, but had not payed any attention to the pumps driving down the road. Think it has gone beyond ridiculous and is supposed to get worse.

elkoholic
There is no end in sight, and at $3.44 a gallon it cost me over $120.00 to fill up my truck. One thing is certain, until there are some controls put on the big oil companies, who keep raking in huge profits, those companies will do as they please. We also need to quit burning fuel just for fun. That means any fuel burning "motor" sports. That's right you Nascar fans, shut them all down and in one weekend of no races, demonstrations/shows we would probably save enough fuel to power the necessary uses for a week. That includes shows like the Blue Angels, who burn enough fuel in one show to power your pickup for a year. One thing is for sure, this will become an interesting world to live in when we exhaust all of the fossil fuels. Time to buy a horse I guess. Wonder exactly HOW much gas is used at those such events......think about how many people are there in the stand......They all had to drive their cars to get there......then all the actually Nascar people....they have to drive to get there too with big big trucks.....Then we have the actually race and practice rounds......MAN thats a lot of gas consumption..

As much as people would not like it, there is a huge amount of consumption there, and if it were all of a sudden cut out and left cut out for a time period it would have to have a significant effect, maybe a big enough factor to drive prices back to where they should be. Dawg
$3.39 here for regular unleaded, $4.09 for diesel. the company I work for spends close to $1M in fuel each year. And that ain't company wide, just the branch I work at. The news folk said it should level out in this area at about $3.50 sometime around Memorial Day. Here is something to think about. When the prices went above $1.00 for reg. unleaded they never fell back below, then they went about $2.00 and never fell back below, now they are above $3.00 and I don't think they are gonna fall back below that. Could be and I hope I am wrong, but I highly doubt it.

Any kind of large 'event' uses fuel like its going out of style... But dont get me wrong, something needs to be done soon!!
